I'm there every 3 months. LOVE IT. Would move there in a heartbeat.
Downtown is super nice and not overcrowded and if you like outdoors activities you will be in heaven. Part of my heart belongs to the Hiwassee River.

Scenery wise it offers a lot. Nice downtown, great aquarium. I don't know much about the demographics.

consider it home but have been living in LA for the past year. There is so much new development in the downtown area and its nicer than ever i would consider relocating back if work was worth it to do so. between all the midsize cities in the south its up there for my favorite one.

To the guys that lived there: where should I live? I will be working just about in ooltewah, but want to be close to downtown. I was thinking east ridge? Idk

Awesome town. One of the most underrated towns in america. Ive considered moving there. Sort of a mini nashville that is less crowded but way more scenic. I love chatt town.

Lived in Chattanooga for almost twenty years. It's a great place. Solid local food scene, ready access to an array of amazing outdoors activities (hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, fishing, hunting, etc.), and an expanding market for the arts, entertainment, and minor-league sports.

Where you'll want to live will depend a lot on your commuting preferences and your family situation. Even with that said, I'm not sure I'd target East Ridge. PM me if you'd like and I'd be happy to elaborate.

i did 3 years up there from 65 thru 68 in military school at baylor. the town was purty dirty back then, but fun. i've been back a coupla times in the past 5 years and it has changed a whole lot! it is just plain awesome as far as cities go nowadays, you'll like it....
