I don't have an account to post on that thread but it needs to be asked by someone "would Joe have waited to call the proper authorities and his superiors if the child being abused was a family member or a child he knew very well?" They all know the answer to that question.

the answer to that question, but hearing that the Paterno family is pissed that they weren't consulted on the sanctions makes me believe you're not going to get a rational answer but from maybe one in ten.

something tells me this can be read as

"i'm sorry, i cannot hang THAT man with any information you will ever put in front of me"

i understand that initial shock must have been hard to swallow, but they needed to prep since november 2011 for what came in the freeh report (and this morning). it sounds like the more piling on happens, the harder they push their fingers in their ears and scream LA LA LA LA LA. self imposed vacation from this season might do the collective a bit of good.
