Does this mean we can finally quit talking about that terrible fr qb we have and defiantly forget about that terrible juco guy?

I saw that pad level as well. Perhaps with proper coaching he can keep his pads at the appropriate height at least 19.83% of the time.

First of all that is being played in a high school stadium..... Tyler John Tyler High School.

Secondly, I don't think his speed is anywhere near as fast as you want to think, you have to remember the talent that he is running against.

Thirdly, arm looks average to good, but his decision making and placement if the ball is better than most. Some of the mid length TD passes he puts it in the only place the receiver can catch it. Did not really matter if he was up against good coverage or not just that the ball was in the right spot. A couple of his long through were behind or just not quite out in front of the receiver enough for how open they were.

With that size, I'm not really worried about his 40 time because I figure that he will plow some people over.

nuff said. For all the faults you find with him, if he steps on campus, he'll shatter EVERY record at MSU. He graduated from HS early and spent 1 and a half years under Mullen. I'll take it that any day over the parade of midgets we've had over the last 5 years.

Well, god damn! I never understood he was that big!!!!

Sign 'em up and hope he gets qualified.

One of the worst officiating calls I remember is a in the grasp call while, I belive, Willie Blade tried to bring down Lorenzen. Jared stepped a away and threw a bomb that was caught for a TD, but while the ball was in the air the Referee was blowing the call dead.

"First of all that is being played in a high school stadium..... Tyler John Tyler High School."

Yep, Trinity Rose Stadium in Tyler, Texas. The John Tyler Lions play there, and they are coached by none other than MSU's own Dereck Rush. Dereck is in his 3rd year as head coach there and his team is undefeated and ranked very high not only in in the Texas 5A state poll but nationally as well. Great job by a former Jackie Sherrill coached Bulldog.

I just got back from a business trip to Tennessee and I met with with one of my customers that follows UT football & recruiting very closely. He said that Newton is ours and that Kiffin has turned his attention away from CM because he realizes he's wasting his time trying to sway him to Big Orange country. This guy said that Newton is a "silent commit" for MSU. I know, I know, the old "silent commit" BS. Anyway, it was good news to hear from another source outside of the MSU family. Finally, we'll have a QB that can at least see over the line. Now we need to go after some mean-*** O-Linemen and a few more headhunters on the defensive side.

Also, I am very impressed by the young guns' performance in the defensive secondary. They should only get better with more playing time. John Banks is the man.
