The game against WSCN will probably be the toughest test on Cherokee’s schedule. I would say WSCN is probably the best team in NC across all associations.

Now we are not going....we won't play another competitive game the rest of the year now including the playoffs....freaking sucks. .only reason i can think of why we cancelled last minute is Joscelyn's ankle must be bad or something ....not like the braves to wimp out and not go to a tournament you committed too. Was really looking forward to going.

I don’t know that things would be much different no matter what conference they were in. I actually think the SMC will have a really good showing in the 1A bracket which will highlight how much Cherokee is just on another level.

They knew it was on a Sunday when the schedule came out months ago...such bs to back out three days before the game.

I wonder if it has to do with an obscure NCHSAA rule about playing more than 3 games in one week? They played two already Wed, Fri, one on Sunday, and the next SMC game the following Tuesday would be 4 in one week. IDK, just wondering. I believe JS is playing fine, but TBH they have so much talent it really wouldnt make the difference in whether they went or not, even if she wasnt able to play. I mean every single one of those kids can tear the nets off, and go hard on D every time down the court. It would be good for someone to ask coach Stamper and get the accurate info on this.

I think it is the Sunday rule...which i didn't know existed....Cherokee was the only public school listed on the schedule for Sunday. The rest are private schools ...all public schools in tournament playing today and Monday...had no idea there was a rule that public schools can't play on Sunday... doesn't make since. But then again when the nchsaa is involved nothing ever makes since

Cherokee had a great effort but lost 47 to 39.. to shining star sports academy. In my opinion putting FourKiller Raby on the bench for final few minutes of a game was a killer for us...was two pt game when she went to the bench ...your play makers need to be in the game at the end. Was a very good fun game to watch even though we lost. Guess next maybe halfway decent game will be final four vs bishop mcguinnrss

IDK much about that team but to hold Cherokee to 39 points speaks volumes. Didnt imagine this was possible. Is this a recruiting school?

There is a possibility that Bishop might go to the east region.
If Bishop is in the west, E Wilkes might give them a run for their money.
Either way, Cherokee should be fine.

Appears so....they have six players over six foot tall...one 6' 5"

I would still take Cherokee but if Queens Grant can beat 11-5 8A Myers Park and NCGBBA(MaxPreps #14 in NC all classes) and go to OT with Concord Academy (#19 in the state all classes) I think it would be at least halfway decent game with Cherokee.
