Strike while the iron is hot. A big Bears contract sets you for life. Even if it doesn’t work out, you go back to major CFB. Where is the downside besides Caleb Williams?

Didn't hurt Michigan last year.

But it doesn't matter. Ohio State is gonna roll. ND has had a weak Indiana at home, QB-less Georgia and a weak Penn State. Not throwing shade at them, Freeman has done well, I'm simply saying they won't be able to handle Ohio State.

True that he could always come back. But it just doesn't seem ethical that the Bears couldn't wait a few more days. However, I do believe he'll make a great NFL coach.

Go to the NFL and get paid. If it doesn’t work out college teams will be lined up to take him back. It’s a win win situation.
