Chicago Catholic League Week IV

Since the match ups are a bit predictable this weekend and the rankings are so controversial, we're going to play a new twist: "Beat the Computer" wherein we can all show our superior know-how over the black box programmed by some enslaved immigrant.

Blue:
SF (3-0) @ BR (2-1): According to the Massey Score Predictor, it'll be BR 28-20. I'll say +14: Crusaders 35 Spartacus 21
SR (1-2) @ MC (3-0): Black box says MC 33-13. Thses two are like old friends, except ones that would be happy to kick each other when one is down. 'Stangs playing beat the clock, at +28 Caravan 35 Mustangs 7.
PC (1-2) @ MA (1-2): PC 34-7. Is this the first-ever match-up between these two? I think the computer may be accurate, but will go with +28 PC 42 MA 14
LA (3-0) @ F (1-2): LA 32-0. I'm going with +21, because LA is only ranked 8th, they have no Elite® 5-Star™ Recruits, and they only return 1 starter on defense. LA 21 F 0.

Green:

PC @ MA
DLS (1-3) @ MCHS (3-0): For some reason, Massey doesn't rate this, but on Calpreps they've got it Montini 35-3. I'll go with +28. Broncos 28 Meteors 0.
LA @ F
SF @ BR

White:
SI (1-2) @ AC (3-0): AC 31-18. I could see an upset, but since I only have to beat the spread, I'll say +3 - Eagles 24 Wolves 21.
BMac (3-0) @ SL (1-2): BMac 34-21. Vikes are pretty fast but the Irish should match-up well on the corners. I like +7 - Irish 28 Norsemen 21.
SJ (1-2) @ Leo (0-3): Leo 41-7. I see the Chargers keeping in this one longer, possibly a surprise. +28 Leo 35 SJ 7

Red:

LFA (0-3) @ GT (3-0): Calpreps says GT 35-28. I like the Rams by 2 tds. GT 28 LFA 14.
HF is ranked #287.
SJ @ Leo

No, no, no ... you can't just pick the favorites -- you've got to play against the computer. Listen, computers are stealing our jobs! Show us that you're smarter than a silly little machine.

ignazio,

GREEN,

I think Montini will roll over Delasalle

PC will get thier first win against MA

Loyola beats Fenwick really easy

Rice by 4 tds over Francis. I hate to say that but Rice is probably pretty angry and will take it out on us.

And, for purely entertainment purposes only, by how much?

I just don't see MC running it up. SR called dogs off in 09 coulda beat MC by 50 if they wanted. MC in '12 kept in reasonable.

for the program's sake, SR needs a strong showing at the frosh game on Saturday. Varsity and soph games likely to be MC shutouts.

MC has 5 sophs up and lost 35-0 to PC

SR's soph program is historically bad I think this year.

Even with all the sophs on the varsity, still surprised PC beat them that bad; PC must have a very good soph team.

What position is Howard Griffith's kid playing on varsity level? Is he playing both ways? Will Frank have him playing QB next year?

He is a starting corner. I would think he is the QB next year but when Thompson did not play week 2 he did not play QB. Who knows.

pc also has 4 sophs up on varsity 3 that start. Their sophomore class is really good they are going to be a junior heavy team next year. And if they keep on losing on varsity might even bring more sophs up by the end of the year.

If Thompson were to be out for an extended period of time, I guarantee you that Griffith would be at the helm.
