Do some of you guys really think Cal isn't a liberal? You can see him biting his tongue every time a political issues comes up. You think he voted for Trump lol?
In reality, they shouldn't give damn if he is or isn't.

It's idiotic to size up people's intelligence or ethics based upon their political ideology.

It's idiotic to draw a conclusion based on those things. But it's a good starting point.

I live in Atlanta, pretty good here with a liberal democrat as mayor. If the redneck south ga. evangelicals would stay out of things, it could be a lot better.
What are you talking about?? I live in south ga and Atlanta controls everything. In other words... Atlanta stinks

I personally know three people that have died in hunting or ATV accidents. I know zero people that have died from violent crime (well I know one that died from domestic violence in a rural area) and I probably know 3 or 4 times more people in cities than I do in rural areas.. 99 percent of people that die from violent crime are involved in crime. (I have no proof of those numbers but you get my point). I could walk through the most violent neighborhood in Atlanta metro at 2 a.m. ad the chances of me assaulted are about 1 in 500.
So your "statistics" are entirely your opinions and not based on any actual scientifically gathered facts. Gotcha.
Tell you what, I'll keep on hunting...as I've done for at least 40 years, without an incident. You go take a few strolls thru the most violent neighborhood in Atlanta and we'll see who is still around a year from now.

Religious liberty and casinos...up until recently, blue laws. I don't want to argue the religious aspects of those things. but I don't think anyone can argue that "religious liberty" laws would have destroyed Atlanta growth and casinos would increase it.

See, that's all I'm asking. And yes, you can only estimate most aspects of life based on you own experiences. . That's just common sense.

And there is way more chance of you dying from a hunting or ATV accident than there is of me dying from violent crime.
That's funny...you couldn't be more wrong. I have never been on a ATV and I haven't owned a gun in over 40 years. How is it I am going to die.? Your crystal ball must be cloudy today.

There's no point in arguing with them dude. The inner cities are war zones filled with black people and drugs. That's what Fox News says, so it must be true.

1) The country you have been so fortunate to get to reside in was largely founded on religious liberty. Seems to be a pretty good place to start.
2) As someone espousing the good of liberalism, do you not find it a moral dilemma to promote free enterprise and growth via casinos?
3) According to some of my dear liberal friends, are not casinos "a tax on the poor" and just another way for the wealthy to separate the underprivileged from their money?

I haven't known people that have died in a hunting/ATV accident or I do know people that have died in a violent crime, or both?

Well, not sure if I'm "liberal" based on your definitions, whatever they might ne. You certainly can't pigeon hole me on every issue. And no, ou4 country has not been founded on "religious liberty" as defined by the legislation. I don't think casinos are a tax on the poor. You can't just declare what you want me to think and then use it against me just because you have friend that believes that.

Way too much political junk in this thread, and it's unnecessary. I think we can all agree that the YUM Center is a disaster. Forget the politics. There's another board for that.

Please explain to me how discussing the Yum Center can be anything but politics. When taxpayers pay the bills, it is political. Why you explain that let me know why every major city in the United States of America with a Democrat mayor is a cesspool of crime and most are bankrupt. If the shoe fits. And historically the state of Kentucky has been run by liberal Democrats and probably was when this deal was cut. It is all about politics.
Totally false and without comprehension of how the world works. Good government is not politics. Actually the ultimate of good government would be the complete absence of politics. That is what this board is suppose to be also, absence of politics.

The Louisville Arena Authority was put together by REPUBLICAN Ernie Fletcher. So, get your idiotic political ignorance over the to Politics Thread with the rest of the indoctrinated posters who only see life from the spoon fed bs fed to the them by right wing media outlets.

I think it's a known fact that gambling brings more crime to an area, but I do enjoy going to a casino but I also know the downside too.

I hope one day we are all united in the intelligence it requires to successfully use the quote feature.

I guess you being a liberal, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an IQ growth anytime soon.

Problem is that this country, mostly, has devolved into bad government, not good government because politics is involved regardless of election cycles. There is no building consensus and working together for the good of the people anymore. The atmosphere is so polluted with politics nothing gets done.

The two party system is a joke and killing this country.

Catch the NBA when no one wants to move and there won't be any offers to contend with. And the tax payers will get the shaft and the bill. Someone should be going to jail and the TIF area should not be (nor should have been changed) changed. That takes money from the state already on top of the impending foreclosure.

Wow! "Professional sports, world class chefs, all of he arts, etc, etc" Doesn't mean **** if your out of town visitors are not safe if they take a wrong turn, or wrong exit off of the interstate. I like how some people act like their city is fine...........because the crime isn't in their part of the city. Louisville had 5 murders this week end. Some act like nothing has happened.

If you can't read a map, you deserve to have your life jeapordized...

Tired of you hillbillies slowing traffic down for the rest of us sophisticates.

Oh, yeah. The YUM Center deal sucks the big one.

Did you see the terrible game that Briscoe had tonight? :)

Of course! This entire team just sucks!

Seriously, been watching since early 80's. I don't think I've ever been as impressed with a team this early.

Actually, you stated rather emphatically that it was more dangerous to hunt or ride an ATV than to walk thru a dangerous neighborhood in Atlanta at 2am. That was an assertion not based in fact and was actually kinda silly.
68 dead this past holiday weekend in Chicago alone. How many died in Atlanta?

I don't know. Your IQ just jumped up a couple of points for using the quote feature correctly this time.

Include an emoji the next time and it might reach the IQ equivalent of a pre-teen.

If you live in Louisville and are NOT a UL fan, the Yum Center deal is absolutely terrible and you're getting totally rear ended. The only people who don't complain about this deal are UL fans and people who don't pay attention. The people who agreed to this deal for the city should be shot.
