You hate to see it. They used to be one of my favorite teams back in the day. And they’ve had a lot of Mississippi State players in recent years. But Mahomes & Kelse & their super annoying wife/fiancé are impossible to cheer for.

Lifelong Chiefs fan here but I agree with that last part. I just try my best to ignore it.
I wouldn’t write em off yet. I thought they were cooked two years ago and they ended up winning it all. You are still talking about a franchise that’s been in seven straight AFC title games and 5 of the last 7 Super Bowls. They tend to figure it out as the year goes on.
When I was growing up I pulled for 2 teams. Saints geographically because I was from S MS and then the Chiefs w/ Willie Lanier, Buck Buchanan and Len Dawson. My cousin was a MS Highway Patrolman and pulled over a speeding car when I was probably 12 or so near Meridian and in it were Lanier and Buchanan either going to our coming from an appearance. They have him a couple autograph pictures that got them out of the ticket w/ a warning. I kept them forever but no idea where they are hiding now
Agree, plus they've played two tough teams. Had the game nearly won yesterday. That said, they seem to have some cancerous stuff happening at the moment. Might just need to move on from Kelce.
Might be the year all the outside distractions (Swift) finally get to them. Plus it's hard for dynasties to keep it going. The Pats had a couple of down seasons with Brady along the way. Sometimes you need to have a down year to force you to refocus. Plus Xavier Worthy is it right now. I had him pegged to breakout as the deep threat Mahomes has missed since Tyreek left for Miami.
Their roster has aged and the players they brought in haven’t exactly lit it up. Last year was proof of how good Mahomes is by being able to elevate average players with his skill set.
