I haven't listened to it yet but I sure miss the pre-sober Tyler.
And that dude not only sang it, he lived it! “Follow You To Virgie” I got a mom & 2 younger brothers left, dad’s passed on now. If that one don’t make you pine fer mama & siblings, can’t help you then. Enjoy some good ole TC!

I miss when little feathered Indian wasn’t offensive!!
I thought I really used to like Childers but the more I listen… the more I think I just liked that one album that feathers Indians is on. Now that one is great pretty much top to bottom but there are only like 2 or 3 songs I like of his that aren’t on that album.

Cody Jinks dropped yesterday but I haven't gave it a listen yet. I really like the Turnpike album that dropped recently.

Sierra Ferrell is opening for him at Mempho, guess he won't be playing Charleston Girl. He should have paid attention to Isbell going sober...jk. trying to talk fiance in allowing me to go see him and wsp in October, but she thinks I may make the wrong choices at a festival.

Charley Crockett got a new one coming out August 8th. Listened to Crucified Son and it’s a good one.

Sober Childers is taking the same path as Sober Jason Isbell. I don't even keep up with Isbell any more. Doesn't have anything to do with my stance for/against the politics or social issues that have become the theme of his music, but it is the fact that those themes seem like they are forced and not necessarily organic. It's not "edgy" when we can get all of the "woke" vs "non-woke" agenda we want just by scrolling Twitter/X or watching the news.

Sober Isbell has put out some fantastic albums. Like DBT and now like Childers he did try too hard for awhile to inject politics into way too much of his music

Never thought I'd be nodding my head to a twangy tune called Tirtha Yatra written by an eastern KY coal miner's kid.

Solid album. Looking toward to seeing him in Memphis in October.

Blasphemy. The new TT album is excellent. On the Red River and Heaven Passing Through are gems.
Two songs, that makes it meh. I do like those by the way but that's about it. But I'll say, Americana stuff is like that a lot. Lots of hit and miss IMO and lots of strong opinions about them.
