Chilhowie Warriors at George Wythe Maroons

Bigger game than last weeks, this is the game they will be judged by. Their 1-2 start does not seem to have anyone excited, since their first three games were vs 2A teams.

With a win Friday night the maroons early season woes will be behind them and Galax becomes the next measuring block. Chilhowie would be hoping for a rematch late in the playoffs.

If GW loses their 3rd straight, things could spiral out of control and where they finish won't be pretty.
A Chilhowie win also puts the Warriors as the top team in a very tough region D, I would figure.

It should be a good game with GW being favored by a touchdown at home. I feel the warriors will want it more and will do enough to win, making a claim for the west.

Definitely could be exciting this Friday to see who's got more heart in this one. Could go either way really. This game comes down to who wants it more.

Chilhowie is in a much better place than GW right now vis a vis expectations. They are loose, confident, and pretty good. Although PH is still in their way, Chilhowie is looking like the team to beat in Region D. I feel like they will come to Wytheville with a healthy respect for their opponent but also a little swagger.

GW is hopefully busting their buns in practice. This is a must win for the Maroons. We say it every year, but this game is as much mental as it is physical. Losing 3 straight would be a serious blow to the team's psyche, even though they beat a good Radford team.
