Common sense.Alright. Now y’all gonna have to give up your sources
Liar
Eww, Gross!Hey Mitch.
At least I know how to read game stats. That's highly debatable.
If you say so!Liar
Nope. I don't work with Cal.Now now. Maybe he’s one of those interns that Cal pays to monitor social media and message boards because he’s a paranoid ego maniac
Yeah, he's good with PR. He's come a good way from when he got into it with a reporter back in the late 90s and called him a "Mexican idiot."He's toast. This is not the right era to assault a family member as a representative of a public university. Wife battering? I guess time will tell.
This board is so poisonous right now I rarely visit.
But this seems a good time to express gratitude for having as University of Kentucky's highest profile public official a man who has recruited kids who have brought praise and honor to the university virtually without exception for a dozen years, and who has been a symbol of activist charity work, raising millions of dollars for Kentuckians in need and people in places like Haiti.
John Calipari has been a great public image for Kentucky and the university. As a Kentuckian now living on the East Coast I can appreciate how much that means. Thanks Coach Cal.
Yeah seeming said they found the victim restrained and he wasn’t letting them up. That’s attempted murder in my books. He's gonna get fired for this.
He either choked his wife or his child.
I’m sure some wackos on here still would. We still want to fire Cal and hire Beard?
Plenty of false claims of domestic abuse occur. It's an automatic assumption with little evidence necessary. Not saying he didn't do it but curious about the proof of the claim. There are no ‘mitigating factors” when they pop you for a domestic abuse felony for choking out someone.
But I’m sure the ******* lawyers Beard will spend a lot of money on will spin it that way.
Cal is choking out BBN's morale. That's assault dagummit!Guess we can't fire Cal, Beard is a wife-beater.
Jeez louise these Cal fans...
Of course there can be mitigating factors. I'm not claiming he was in the right but that is still possible too. We simply don't know anything yet. There are no ‘mitigating factors” when they pop you for a domestic abuse felony for choking out someone.
But I’m sure the ******* lawyers Beard will spend a lot of money on will spin it that way.
Nobody should be celebrating this. If you lay hands on your family members in anger like that? Well, let’s just say I believe in instant karma. And all the Cal pumpers celebrated
Depends on the situation and what family member we are talking about .Nobody should be celebrating this. If you lay hands on your family members in anger like that? Well, let’s just say I believe in instant karma.
Only way he’s in the right if the person he was basically trying to kill was he was acting in self defense. The fact he’s being charged with domestic abuse pretty much rules that out.Of course there can be mitigating factors. I'm not claiming he was in the right but that is still possible too. We simply don't know anything yet.
It was a family member he put his hands on.30 year old boyfriend found in teen daughters room 2am change any minds?
As if they just all keep running lists on whiteboards above their desks lmaoI can guarantee Oats isn't in anyone at UK's top 5. Let alone #1.![]()
That wouldn't be a family or household member, which is what was charged.30 year old boyfriend found in teen daughters room 2am change any minds?
Do you live in a mute world or something? 🫢As if they just all keep running lists on whiteboards above their desks lmao
While that’s true, and I believe in equality (women shouldn’t hit men and then not expect retaliation), the fact he’s being charged with a felony says quite a bit.Depends on the situation and what family member we are talking about .
Most likely but these are initial charges. If it was only he and his wife in the house, yeah, he's in some deep poo. In all likelihood he's screwed but I've finally reached an age that I'm learning to wait for information before jumping on the bandwagon.Only way he’s in the right if the person he was basically trying to kill was he was acting in self defense. The fact he’s being charged with domestic abuse pretty much rules that out.
Chapter 1 of how to lose a cushy job. Making millions and you throw that all away by being stupid.
Yeah this situation doesn’t look good I was just saying in general family altercations can get tricky. While that’s true, and I believe in equality (women shouldn’t hit men and then not expect retaliation), the fact he’s being charged with a felony says quite a bit.
2 degrees?What’s the difference in 1st degree and 3rd?
30 year old boyfriend found in teen daughters room 2am change any minds?
Sometimes, repeat offenders with prior domestic violence convictions in Texas can also receive a charge as severe as a third-degree felony. But if the event escalates to strangulation the punishments are more significant. This is even the case for first-time offenders. Those who receive third-degree felonies should expect a sentence of 2 to 10 years in the Texas state prison. What’s the difference in 1st degree and 3rd?
No he does work in the Athletics Department. He's one of the four guys in the Computer Services division.Liar
Absolutely and no one should be trolling other fans over this.Nobody should be celebrating this. If you lay hands on your family members in anger like that? Well, let’s just say I believe in instant karma.
Well, alcoholism and drunkenness affects people in different ways. My grandfather (whom I never knew because he died in his early 40s) was an alcoholic and was one of those nice drunks. He never met a stranger and was a functioning alcoholic. He started drinking first thing every morning and was pretty well buzzed all day long, held down a job, and was friendly to family and friends. I had a good friend in high school who was the life of the party kind of drunk, most of the time. But then there was the time he got drunk and mixed his alcohol with some other drugs and beat up his landlord, nearly killed him, and wound up in jail. Truth is, it's nearly impossible to predict how drunkenness will affect someone. And it can change, too, in an instant. Stories of my grandfather and then his premature death, along with my own faith, have led me to never touch the stuff. I've had a glass of wine at a friend's wedding. That's pretty much it. I don't think it's wrong to have a drink. It's just not for me.Being an alcoholic and being a low life piece of **** abuser are two different things.
Sark paid a price for his drinking and by all accounts has turned his life back around. But he never put his hands on someone, let alone a family, member as far as I know.
I have a little brother who is a piece of **** addict and drunk. Steals from my dad and grandad all the time. In and out of jail and rehab. Got three kids by two women that he doesn’t support. But I can say he’s never laid his hands on anyone in the family.
That's usually what lawyers do.
There’s also a statement by his lawyer saying he’s 100% innocent, never should have been arrested and that victim wants him released
That's often the problem in domestic violence.Victims often don't want to press charges because they still love the person.
There’s also a statement by his lawyer saying he’s 100% innocent, never should have been arrested and that victim wants him released
Yup, just adding new infoThat's usually what lawyers do.
