but if he really wanted to go to MSU and play QB, the best route for him to go would have been to grayshirt and then wait until Tyler Russell graduated. And yes, I know that even then it wouldn't have been a slam dunk that he would have started after all of that and he probably would have been beaten out by Favre/Prescott/whoever else.
