Apparently he's in jail facing his 3rd domestic violence charge.

Will Carr be a Senior? Thought he only played in the '10 and '11 seasons before leaving the team, giving him two more years. Could be wrong though.

Did Carr lose the year he sat out? I'm not up to date on NCAA rules.

I honestly have no idea. That was just from reading our roster -- which may or may not be correct. Think the clock keeps ticking on eligibility -- but if we play our cards right we can probably get him a medical redshirt for the season he missed.

Thinking we're taking a wait and see approach before going out on a limb for him though...

Not flaming, but isn't his father a coach? If so, a D-1 sized beat down should be in order.

Based on my personal experience in college sports I can tell you that once the clock starts ticking it doesn't stop, unless the military is why he wasn't present. At least that how it was in '96

Thank you. I thought he might be Tony's son. Contrary to all popular belief, there are a few that do not take the MSU/Ole Miss rivalry to heart. Thanks for the cheese and I hope that a couple of Monroe County players perform great for you guys.(except against Ole Miss)

It is my understanding that your clock stops running if you aren't enrolled.

Yep. 5 years to play 4. Played as a true FR in 2010, played as a SO in 2011, sat out 2012, will be a JR in 2013 and a SR in 2014. I suspect if he doesn't produce this year, he won't be back next year though. At least I hope not.

I'm all about redemption and everything, but he probably should have been kicked off after his freshman/sophomore year (can't remember which). I know he basically received an in-house suspension and paid for his sins at practice........................ but come on. No room for violence against women.

Also have Whitley. Swedenburg is not a walk on. He grayshirted his first year, then redshirted, and is now about a 25 year old senior with like 2 master degrees. But he's on scholarship.

Losing Hughes is probably a good thing. Get rid of a thug and it opens up playing time for younger guys (Zach Jackson & the Browns). If we were going to lose someone, this was the position to lose - lots of depth.

This.

No excuse for this behavior. I understand trying to help him, but he obviously doesn't want the help.

But hey...Aaron Hernandez just smoked a little weed and had a bad rep, right?
