Video said he was seriously considering Ole Miss last night. But went with MSU at 6 am this morning. But Mom said it was never close. His own words.

A lot of things about Jones recruitment aren't very clear. Not at Ole Miss-was at Ole Miss. 80% going to Ole Miss last night. Hope he goes to State with his head on straight and will be the kind of football player that he has all the talent of being.

So what...

I'm very glad we got him but nothing he has said over the past couple of weeks has been truthful so I personally wouldn't put much stock in this either.

The last 2 weeks of this kids recruitment has made him look like a lying head-case. Does that not bother you in the least?

Ultimately, we held on to him, and that’s what matters most. I dunno if he seriously considered OM, was up there gathering recruiting dirt in some grand plot (seriously doubt it), was just taking advantage of the free OM recruiting whores, or whatever, but in the end we held on to a highly rated recruit who has the opportunity to be a huge impact player for us. So I’ll take it.

He's a teenager, get over it...

think of how committed you were to anything at 17 years old.

No..not at all. He was just playing the game for fun...and playing the rebears for fools. I'm just pleased that he signed with us.

Look, the drama was not on Chris, it was his dad. Just leave it at that and move on...... When you were 17 you probably wanted to do everything you could to make your dad proud of you too.

I'm not a huge fan of whatever the 17 that last month was with Chris Jones. I'm glad he's here but holy **** you think we signed Tom Brady or Barry Sanders with that circus 17 we just got put through.

Mullen should put this on his resume'. "I talked possibly the #1 recruit in the

country out of signing with our rival school, when he said he was about 80% going to them....on the last day, about 3 hours before he committed. Yes, I can recruit."

You nor I have any real facts in what went down with Chris - so, no, it doesn't bother me. If we find out info proving otherwise, I may change that thought. Other things bother me, though, like some dipshit on a message board hiding behind a lame username calling our star recruit and future football team member a "lying head-case" when they have no real knowledge of exactly what happened.

we held what, based on what I've seen and heard, is probably the best prospect to come out of MS in the last 10 or 15 years. Maybe an overstatement but I've never seen a guy from MS look so dominant in the MS/AL all-star game. He was by far the best athlete on the field for either side.

He reminds me of Tommy Kelly.. Tommy Kelly also had a great MS/AL all-star game and looked like a can't miss prospect. He is now a proud Bulldog in the NFL.

" ... except when I say that I "talked to" said recruit, I don't mean that I actually "talked to" the recruit on the morning of NSD because my athletic director tweeted out that I never actually "talked to" said recruit on the morning of NSD. So that's what we're going with."

He said he talked to Mullen this morning; Stricklin said he didn't, so if Stricklin is telling the truth (which I believe Stricklin over Jones), then Jones is lying. The media has constantly reported him saying one thing, while he does something different; that's lying, for whatever reason it's lying.

Now, you can continue to drink the maroon kool-aid, but I'm going to think someone's a liar and wonder if they're a head-case, when they 17'n LIE.

Mullen stated numerous times today that he spoke to Chris around midnight last night and around 6 this morning. I guess Stricklin is the lying headcase.
