They are ripping him on sports 56 (Memphis)this am. But I guarantee if he played at OM, crickets from sports 56.

Ripping him all over the place. But I guess folks just expect us to not talk about it? Especially when he's had a history of it.

He legit could have stopped Lawrence last night.

Do other fanbases sh it on their former players the way some of our fans sh it on ours? It looks like Chris thought the two guys who had Lawrence dead to rights in the backfield were going to make the tackle, so he didn't go over there. It was just one play. He's probably going to be a Hall of Famer, has three Super Bowl rings and has been named to six All-Pro teams. By number of Super Bowls combined with individual honors, he is Mississippi State's most accomplished professional player in history. But let's just talk about the time he didn't hustle on one play. My God.

I swear, some of y'all are just way too damn sensitive. Goat is right, he quit on the play and he (Jones) is getting lambasted by the media and justifiably so (afterall he makes $31,000,000 annually). It's not "shitting" on a former player if it's the truth. Get over it.

It almost looks like sort of a zone blitz where he’s backing off into pass coverage but I totally get why people are saying he’s giving zero effort there. Also doesn’t help that he’s had a horrible year so far.

I suspect he's starting to feel his age. Imagine the wear and tear of being double teamed on a near constant basis for many years by NFL level O linemen. He's the focus of the line in every game he plays.

And this was the end of the game. He usually comes up big late in games. Just looked beat down most of last night. Not sure what's going on, but he will begin to fade at some point. Hope it's not yet.

I think multiple things are true here. He does quit on the play but it's also a busted play that Lawrence turns into something great

He’s getting double teamed even more. I’d have to go back and look but I think KC lost some guys on the line to free agency.

I also think that it's reasonable to think that he thought Lawrence was down, since he fell down twice on the play and from his vantage point could've seemed like somebody touched him while on the ground. Just a thought.
I thought he was down. I didn’t realize what had happened until 10 seconds after the TD was called.

I know that OM fans don’t **** on current/former players, at least not publicly. And we wonder why former players want nothing to do with us and coaches want to leave.

Chris and Fletcher were every bit as good as Jeffrey when they played at State.

They all took plays off. - Simmons took the fewest off, Jones was next. Fletch took a lot of plays off.

But all three of those guys could own the LOS against any opponent. See Fletcher's last game against Bama.
