And he will announce on signing day at 9am at Houston High School.

Any chance that Mullen will run his mouth to Freeze as he exits the house? I think Mullen could take him in a cagefight.

While you have plenty of reason to believe that.... sometimes kids hold press conferences anyway to reaffirm their commitment or to put any rumors to rest. The underlined being what I hope happens.

Can we please get you involved in some sort of ban bet?

I've heard about enough Goat to last me a few weeks.

He's 18 and just came on to the scene as one of the top prospects in the country. I think he just wants to have some fun and get some attention from the press conference. Being that age, I don't really blame him for wanting the attention. I would have done the same thing. It makes our ******** pucker up thinking he might choose Ole Miss but I doubt Chris is worried about that.

He's going to be a bulldog.

Jones is not flipping. This doesn't bother me. The visits are his way of thanking the bears for showing him some ten-shun, but it came too late. I think the observation is isn't going to Oxford for the visit speaks volumes.

Yeah,COMMITTED to State, but is going to chose between State and Ole Miss? Ummmm, what is the meaning of the word "committed"?

Going first not a good sign. That means Freeze has no stop time. Gets to stay for supper. And last one in has the best shot. If he wanted to say thanks, he could do that quickly and early. Freeze will stay in the living room pulpit for hours now

The rumor is freeze will visit Thursday and Mullen will visit Saturday. At least that's what I read on a pay board.

OR we have learned the importance of winning the press conference?

This is total bs. You ALWAYS want the first in-home. You think just because we are first that we have a stop time? That OM automatically gets a "fair" amount of time to make their pitch? We could stay as long as we like.

I laughed too. We are going to have some do source searching for ammo if mullen happens to knock out those glorious two front teeth. I'd be sad if he lost those teeth.

What is the advantage over having the last in-home? Just curious how you formed so strong of an opinion that you deemed his post as 'total bs'.

I don't think it matters either way. But more evidence suggests that giving your pitch last may be best.

agree. Mullen can show up for breakfast and stay for lunch and hang around thru the afternoon snack and then eat dinner. Then CJ could get real tired and have only 30 or so minutes to visit with freeze, hypothetically.

If that true, Jackson, then that means that Freeze is visiting in the attempt to get Jones to bring his mother on an unofficial visit to OM on Friday. This could be good news, because it likely means that Jones has no current plans to visit OM again.

On your last sentence: Exactly. What makes you think the "last pitch" ever really happens? Whoever is going second starts WAY behind when it comes to in-home visits in the same day... especially "this" type of in-home.

If Freeze keeps his in-home with Jones scheduled for Saturday, I'd lay pretty good odds that it's not going to happen at all...

That can't be, Peaches told me just yesterday that Mullen wouldn't even need his in-home visit.

Wipe my *** Murse

Let's let Saturday play out before you talk any ****. Hell, it was just yesterday that Jones wasnt visiting anywhere. Now he is supposed to go to State- then Oxford. Visits here, visits there...visits errywhere....

He wants to tell Mullen thanks but no thanks in person, because it's the honorable thing to do, then he can have a Bible study with Freeze that afternoon.

Because that's how this whole thing has went down.

I'll end the suspense. Yes, Mullen could take Freeze in a cagefight (but Freeze would pray mighty hard about it afterwards) and Chris Jones is signing with Ole Miss.

Maybe, just maybe, Jones and Mullen are up to something. I don't see Jones heading to Ole Miss; he just hasn't given any indications of anything more than mild interest and "a fun night." Meanwhile OM has practically thrown Daniels under the bus because he thinks OM wants Jones more. Surely the OM staff can see Jones isn't interested. They have been very shrewd in recruiting so far--why take a long shot on a 5 star with a 4 star bird firmly in your hand? Makes no sense. BUT what if--Mullen has told Jones to string them along with the intent that it pisses off Daniels and we end up with BOTH Jones and Daniels. Coach 34 said Jones was ours and he would be a hero on signing day after the whole truth got out. Am I close, coach?

BWA HA HA HA.....yeah, how often has this situation EVER been used by MSU. That's black helicopter stuff. If it turns out to be true, that crow will taste mighty fine. I want to be wrong.

Probably because a 5 star is talking with them? You don't turn down a 5 star player, I don't care if you have 10 people lined up at his position.

Coach 34 said ......

So the **** what? Amazing why so many of you listen to that nimrod.

Even if Jones does stick with State, it's not because of anything Peaches says.

If you're gonna ditch State for someone else, it should be for an MNC contender

NOT some Sunbelt-level school that hasn't had any real success since they changed to two-platoon football.

I think Freezus would be making a huge mistake continuing to pursue Jones IF the reason Daniels is restless is because they are still on Jones.Of course with hurry-up offenses, 3-4 DE's would be ideal to allow keeping a fresh guy in there (cue up Bama) so Daniels is being paranoid (if that is even his problem with OM). Still, not worth losing a 4 star for the off chance of getting a five. They must really think they have a chance, and Jones has done/said nothing to give that impression to me--but he may be telling Freeze something else, and if he is, I'm smellin' Mullen.

There will 2 other highly rated DE's in Auburn on the same trip so if that's the issue, I don't see it being a big one.
