51-73 , 793 yards , 6 TDs and 2 INTs.

One of the 2 INTs was the hail mary right before halftime of the Gator Bowl , not sure about the other.

Relf has really come a long way as an SEC QB.

unbelievable what Dan has been able to accomplish this year with Relf. I'll admit I was a hater when we signed him. However, that was based on crooms and mccorvey being his coaches. They would make Dan Marino look terrible with their game planning and play calling. The way that Mullen has set Relf up to succeed is a miracle, to me. If your are a QB coming out of high school (or any skill positionplayer), I just don't see how you wouldn't want to play for the man.

...and I hate to, because I'm happier that a blind ***** at a weenie roast with the stats that Relf has been putting up lately, but I have to remind myself that the last two (at least) games were against statistically HORRIBLE defenses. Ole Miss? MEECHIGAN??

He had ALL DAY to stand in the pocket and pick the Michigan D apart yesterday. That won't happen at the beginning of next season against LSU, Auburn, et al. Just a friendly reminder that these stats are padded somewhat* by playing relatively weak competition later in the season.

We always have a front-loaded schedule against tough defenses, so don't be too surprised if the Offense seems to regress a little next year at the beginning of the season, and again when we play Alabama.

*I repeat, kudos to Relf for doing what he's done. I am proud of him and he's obviously making better decisions at the end of this season. I just have to prepare myself for legitimate SEC defenses again next year after the hiatus against Ole Miss and a Big 10 school.

Everyone plays weak teams for half their schedule. Relf deserves all the praise for his stats. Simple fact he is progressing quite well against teams he should be playing well against. Job well done sir. Hail State Amen.

he is doing all of the little things that he wasn't at the beginning of the year. Dan talked about how Relf is now going to his check down receiver, throwing the ball away instead of up for grabs, and etc.

Remember the LSU game where he basically threw a ball up for grabs to Peterson? That's a pass that he probably makes now, or throws it away.

I think next year, he will really have a great year because he is so experienced now. And he may even get better between now and then, too.

We might as well have not HAD an offensive line that game. He was trying to not die, and I think if you took Today's Relf and sent him back to that game it wouldn't make a bit of difference.

I agree and I DO see him making better decisions (such as the check-downs) that he wasn't making earlier in the year. I am just trying to prepare myself for early SEC competition next season, when those checks will have to be made MUCH faster that the time he was given in the past 2 games. Hope he can keep it up.

My point is, yes he is playing much better, but he is also playing against inferior competition at this point. Part of the improvement has to be related to that. He didn't get much pressure the whole game Saturday to force him to make a quick decision like LSU or Nick Fairley would.

deny the maturing of Relf as a SEC QB as one of the gems in Dans crown....I'm glad to know that we have a capable QB heading into next season...and one that played through some injury and pain instead of taking the sideline to heal up .... I'm glad that I have grown so much wool heading into the winter
