Totally agree. Texas fans hated losing him. Nice pickup. Looking forward to seeing this kid play.

I am hoping Christian Clark and the PSU transfer, along with an OL overhaul, give us the possibility of a true running game/rushing threat. That, along with a real "college" OC, might just be the magic needed to get us back in the winning column.
It does appear we have addressed our needs, except maybe getting another TE. So, instead of firing and paying off Beamer, we used that money in the portal. I’m good with it. Now, will it show up next year in production and how much production is enough for Beamer to keep his job? Way too early to tell. He recruits his a** off, because t at some point the coaching has to match it. Bold move getting Briles. I like all that has happened. Will it make a difference? I have no idea.
We weren't signing a sixth back unless he was good. We have good depth now and this kid will play-and may start. Clark had an achilles injury his first season at UT and redshirted. He played sparingly last year as a redshirt freshman coming back from injury but also behind two bigger names. He had a solid bowl game and I think he wanted to be the feature back at Texas next year and started looking around when they got Smothers from NC State and Brown from Arizona State off portal. We don't have have a clear favorite at running back so he has a good shot at solid PT this season.
Is this true? I know our O-Line was probably the worst in the SEC (being generous). Other than Jacarrius Peak and keeping Josiah Thompson are the new guys better?
Agreed moving in the right direction and agreed we don’t know about the OL yet. I don’t think it’s worse, just don’t know if it’s better. I do know it was better a year before Shula took over so hoping the scheme and coaching will help. Optimistic, yes, convinced? No. I will say I’m happy with what Beamer has done recruiting and in the portal. I don’t see what else he could have done. It’s all to me on the offense making a big jump next year. There’s enough on defense to keep games competitive, it’s all about the offense being better. It’s wait and see. If Sellers isn’t better early on, give Woods a chance. Way too early to be making these calls.
I think so. Peak is an automatic starter. Then we got 3-4 other OTs to battle out to see who's best. There's a legit 4-way battle at Guard. The big question mark is center.

Right, have to hope the scheme and coaching are better and “jimmy’s vs Joe’s” is as good with losses vs new guys. We will see. Last year’s line was horrible but didn’t look bad the year before. I’m cautious, but hopefull.
Won’t matter why? QB play, OL play, WR play, RB play, coaching, , or strength of schedule? I get it, we are in a tough league and they are all working hard to get better. Our hope is that a new scheme will make Sellers be great again. That’s my concern, that Sellers won’t be better. What’s your main concern?

The real question now is obviously: does it translate to more wins this upcoming season? Guess then we'll be able to determine if there are upgrades with the position groups and coaches.
