Scoring is one part of basketball! This guy blocks shots,rebs,plays good defense is a great athlete and a solid player!
I know future potential is a lot of these rankings, but honestly the top 10 guys usually pan out. Hopefully heās more Isiah Jackson than Edwards, but Iāll take him especially if he stays 2 years.

This is the type of player who could get way better in a more disciplined system.
He doesnāt need to be an offensive creator.
But he can maximize his talent and minimize his flaws instead of making non-effective plays in high school basketball.
Imagine him cutting and finishing with insane dunks in Mark Popeās system, just hitting open threes and using his speed and athleticism to rebound and defend.
Mark Pope hasnāt had a player in his system this athletic and talented (JQ hasnāt played yet). This could be a scary story for other teams.
The funny part is he's not even a bad offensive player. Especially for a 6 foot 8 guy that is 18
Sign him up. Get a commitment and we can celebrate how good he is. Crystal balls are getting old.

Some of you need to deal with the fact that some of these folks just want the top overall player and draft picks. They miss the Cal way. They arent Kentucky first fans. They would rather have bragging rights about signing a top 2 class and expanding our drafts picks vs Kentucky doing whats best for UK and building a program of great college players who can win games and increase our overall win total, final fours and championships.
I want the best players and UK to win every game, it has nothing to do with former coach. Pope said himself that he will recruit the best of the best.

Iām sorry. The only reason Iām halfway excited about these specific players is because of our current head coach recruiting them. Give me a list of the type of players Iām allowed to want at Kentucky so I can get real UK fan badge.
Yea I want all the top players. I wish next years team was the entire top ten from high school. Iām happy if itās top players from portal. Iām happy if UK is winning.

He said the kid had no offensive upside, which that in itself is ridiculous,but even if it was true I listed besides being a solid player scoring all his other abilities.
The ideal situation next year would be to have BG backing up MM at center with a freshman who would probably redshirt battling Potter for 3rd string and have MoD at the four backed up by Jelly and Hawthorne with Chandler, Lowe, Noah, and Williams back at the 1-3 positions. If we lose any of them it will be to another team offering more than Pope thinks they're worth. MM and MoD and Lowe might all be projected as late first round picks in the upcoming draft but that means they could also slip into the 2nd round and be taking a pay cut and locked into 2nd round money for 4 years so...they are not going pro unless they are delusional about their draft prospects or some team drafting 16-20 gives them a guarantee.
So I think we should need no more than two highly rated prospects at the 1-3 spots, freshmen or portal I don't care.
Unfortunately most freshman that have their mind set on being the man donāt wanna share and rather go somewhere else. Possible yes probable no.
