Looks like the cats might land their first player of the class in Christian Collins. Interested to see how this impacts Stokes especially if the recent rumors are true...

Multiple places, ksr plus posted a new article on it, trilly has said somthing similar but adds that we moved on from stokes
I like Collins but really wanted Stokes more.
me too, stokes is the better player for sure, but he has baggage. at the end of the day i want the better player, but i get why pope moved on from tyran
I think if you thought they were similar from the start and one is ready to commit you just take that commitment.

Why some guys say Collins will be 2-3 years player and not contributors for SEC in year 1...
He will be surefire OND player, and could be typical freshman star
Remember Caleb Wilson, who was also raw in offense in high school games, and probably similar weights and height

I am pretty excited by potential addition of Collins. I think as long as he can add weight to like 220 pounds (which is achievable before he playing first college basketball game), he will be contributor in year 1
He is more athletic and talented than anyone on current Kentucky team other than maybe JQ

yeah our fanbase is quick to say a player is a 3 year guy, and putting that label on collins is insane, he's a pro

I always think Collins loves Pope most, and as long as money is enough for him to away from hometown, he will come here
Now seems that we offered most money, and then we "pick up the momentum"
Rumors that he's the kind of kid to postpone or change his commitment if his decision leaks early really made me pause. Just seems like a head case or that his family is a collective head case.
Could be nothing, but I don't feel like the benefits outweigh the negatives with Stokes.

unfortunately no matter the circumstances, if we miss on stokes we will have a ton of fanbases on us

If we can get Collins and Holt or get Stokes and no other top 20 freshman I would take either scenario.
I think Stokes could be a star but just don't see it with Collins.
We don't know all those guys will be back ,there is always transfers

Jason Hart lead recruiter on this one btw. Have seen some suggest we don't have a good staff for recruiting.

I sure hope not. I believe this is Kentucky and we can get more than one. Why is it always one or the other? I get it’s how it might end up working out but why can’t we get a couple top ten guys?
