He's got nothing to hang his head about. We wouldn't have hosted a super without what he did February- May. Everyone on this team had a part in this championship, whether it was pitching in March or big hits in June.

He's a guy that will go off to summer ball, get his confidence restored, and come back and be a guy for us next year with high end draft potential. The stuff is there he just needs some success and summer ball will do that.

MacLeod had a tough outing in that first game against Vanderbilt.

As a pitcher, sometimes . . . you just don't have it and nothing is working like it should.

MacLeod should just process what happened, learn from it, and then put it behind him and get better because of it as he moves forward with his pitching career.

It all worked out in a weird way. Leiter and Maldanado were always going go be the hardest to beat IMO. Sure enough, we couldn't get anything going against them. Bednar could have been wasted against Leiter with no run support.
