Steve's Deli and Standard Life Bodega have good burgers.

Standard burgers: Burgers & Blues, Rooster's / Congress St. Bar & Grill / Majestic. Haven't been to Trace Grill in forever.

AA - hungry

They are spreading like wildfire out here in Dallas, and they absolutely rock. Put one out near Dogwood and it would do phenomenal business.

. . . but CS's is the most overblown patty of average out there. I've had several, and I'll take a Five Guys Burger anyday.

It has been years but a buddy of mine took me there and said that it was the best burger I would ever eat, he was right.

Had some type of special sauce on it. I cannot remember the name of the place. Want to say it is something like Golden or Goldies Trail Barbecue, burger is called The Chef Special. It has been years but I remember it being outstanding.

and the placeis still open occasionally. Not very reliable though. I have no idea what days and hours they keep. I'm always surprised when we drive by and see the lights on and cars parked there.

That was the last time they shut down 2 years ago. About a year ago after she reopened, it shut down again and hasn't been open since. I drive by it multiple times every day. I think it's actually done this time for good.

It's owned by a client and I was looking forward to eating there because I'd heard it was good, but I was advised by the locals that they lost their chef and went to ****.

The three guys is a hell of a burger. No matter how many people are with you-order only one order of fries.

I could have sworn it was open one trip by in the past week or two?

I also drive past about every day, usually around dinner time.

I'll ask the wife. She knows everything about everything.

Best burger in town.

Be sure to get cup of gumbo for an appetizer while there. Whoever is in the kitchen knows how to prepare the roux.

If you want a salad try the New Orleans Shrimp Salad with the Feta Cheese vinaigrette. The shrimp creole selection is tasty too.

It's the same menu pretty much that they have always had and yes the cook/chef that they had before is no longer there.

Hooter's, Chili's, and Huey's all havevery goodburgers. They all pale in comparison to The Velvet Cream inHernando. Better known as "The Dip". Awesome burger, fries and shake.

go to Sonny's in Starkville? Best burger i ever had. It was a bar-b-q place, but not associated with the chain. It was out on 16th Section Road, ina shed that had been converted to a restraunt. Plywood walls witha couple MSU posters, BBQ trophys, and grease for decorations. The old black man, Sonny, sat behind thecash register. You gave your order to the woman standingbeside him, who would write it down and then turn and repeat it to Sonny. He would then take your money, cash or local check. No one touched the money except Sonny. One time I ordered when he was out back, but the girl refused to take my money. She just told me to wait until Sonny came back. There was no inspection sticker that I could ever see. You could get as many pattys as you wanted and they would dip thepatties or whole thing in bbq sauce if you wanted. Sonny died a couple years back and his kids ran it for a bit and then sold to someone whoturned it into a steak house, but it was never the same.

Urban Cafe 463 has a Colby burger that is off the chart

I haven't eaten at Stamps in years (takes too long for lunch) but it was the best around
I love CSInez burger but it's not the best burger in the State
I'm not impressed by Majestic burger
Colonial / Deerfield both make great cheeseburgers

to get Christy's at the top of the list. It's a decent greasy spoon burger, but no way it's the best in Mississippi.
