go to Sonny's in Starkville? Best burger i ever had. It was a bar-b-q place, but not associated with the chain. It was out on 16th Section Road, ina shed that had been converted to a restraunt. Plywood walls witha couple MSU posters, BBQ trophys, and grease for decorations. The old black man, Sonny, sat behind thecash register. You gave your order to the woman standingbeside him, who would write it down and then turn and repeat it to Sonny. He would then take your money, cash or local check. No one touched the money except Sonny. One time I ordered when he was out back, but the girl refused to take my money. She just told me to wait until Sonny came back. There was no inspection sticker that I could ever see. You could get as many pattys as you wanted and they would dip thepatties or whole thing in bbq sauce if you wanted. Sonny died a couple years back and his kids ran it for a bit and then sold to someone whoturned it into a steak house, but it was never the same.
