Be cool too see Nebraska next year in their alternate uniform game wearing a chrome Red helmet similar to what Louisville and Iowa State are wearing today in their bowl games.

Ok I'm seeing Louisville... those are some nice helmets!!! I can see it now as...
Husker Power Scarlet Chrome with the traditional N in Cream Chrome!! Husker Power continues with the Aggressive Scarlet home jersey marked with reflective cream colored highlights!

I don't even have antenna... thank you though buddy! I have internet streams that I watch
That would be worse than Marylands alternates by far!
How do you feel about not just old throwbacks... but way way way back throwbacks? How about that 1902 uniform? Looks American to me. Patriot Day tribute. God Bless America and the Home of the Huskers!Agree. Hence, the post.
Would love to see more throwbacks...

Damn straight!
There is nothing on the helmet. A white strip and a N we have on our field would look good with those.
Not if we wear white jerseys and white pants.
What about shiny scarlet chrome pants or a similar kit that we did when we had the all white alternate?
s'pose the kids like them. i don't like the chrome helmets at all.
I mean to say the alternate all whites we did. If love to see a chrome scarlet helmet with that
The red helmet throwback would be sweet, just have to do it traditional.
No friggin red chrome for Christ's sake.

These IMO were bad *** alternates and as far as red chrome should go. Too much and it's just too tacky.
I thought it looked VERY classy! These IMO were bad *** alternates and as far as red chrome should go. Too much and it's just too tacky.
Yeah, the chrome deal is probably a chrome base with a translucent red topcoat, would be hard to pull off on fabric.
Actually, I kind of like the Lil Red look, and I am one of the HO uniform nazis. But it would depend on the game. If NU kicked a$$ in the game it would be demoralizing for the other team. But is NU got boatraced, the unis would come off as silly as hell.
Chrome looks terrrible.
Louisville looks like some crap xfl or gaudy team from any given sunday.
I hope we never go that far in the gutter.
