When they get under his and his staff's direction for any reasonable amount of time, they tend to act right.

Not saying we won't have some kids in the future getting in scraps and drinking, but the odds go down once they have been under this staff for an appreciable amount of time.

The Rebs can make fun of Gene, David or Rosebowl, but you'll never see ANY of them post anything like that ever. Unbelievable.

Chuck just needs to keep working on kicking Bo Bounds off of Supersport930 like he said he would. I remember reading where he posted something like, "I know who runs that station and I'll get him taken off the air."

This was after Bounds drug Yancy through the coals after Yancy made the comment about Cohen leaving the Kentucky program in shambles and he would do the same at MSU. I like Bounds and I'll hate it when Chuck uses his Rebel influence to get him off the air.

Gene used to post very similar stuff about Croom all the time, with regard to how he would mold players into men and all that garbage.

I have to say that yes Chuck is a homer, but this is taking it to a different level. It's one thing to report what the coaches are telling you and to give that type of information, but to say that all these guys need is a little Houston Nutt, and it'll straighten them out, that's pure sunshine at its finest.

if Croom had a player that was given a second chance and went all thug and brass knuckles on a guy after robbing from the dead at Florida, I doubt Gene would say that he needed a little Bible talk from Croom. Maybe he would. I know Gene has written some homer stuff. No doubt. I should have typed more. I meant to compare scenarios.

Players may or may not get into trouble when they first get there. Then, after they have been there under his staff for a while (twss), they may or may not get in trouble again.

I guess the same goes for Langston. All he needed was a little more time under Mullen's influence and he'd have never been pulled over for a traffic violation with a pound of dope in the car.

stories like Hornsby and Sterling's have been a common theme around here over the past decade... another common theme is that Houston always magically finds a way to get them on the field.

The difference is that Croom didn't have a 10 year history of keeping thugs on the team no matter what they did. Nutt is one of the worst coaches in America for taking and keeping questionble ********. Croom did not have that history and Gene was believing what he was writing when he said stuff like that. He may have been wrong because Croom had his fair share of idiots. But there is no way that Chuck Rounsildickhead could be dumb enough to believe that when he wronte it. As dumb as he is, even he can't believe that.

and if anybody at Ole Miss has any sense, they will use this chance to get Hornsby as far away from that team as possible.
