You're going to need someone who is rich and feels like they have nothing to lose before that ever happens.

It's going to take some very expensive lawyers to win that because AEW will inevitably get caught up in it somehow on top of the billions and armies of attorney TKO has access to.

Realistically, you'd need someone who has gotten extremely wealthy outside of wrestling and they are just doing wrestling because they can. Other than maybe someone like Logan Paul, who even exists that would. No one that has that kind of money and is wrestling is doing it as anything more than a side gig for fun, so they aren't likely going to want to do anything to screw that up.

They are likely going to end up getting effectively - but not officially - black balled from wrestling other than some Indies. No company that signs talent contracts is going to want to bring that person in. So they are going to have to be okay with effectively giving up all major money making potential from their career if not having to give up their wrestling career entirely.

Someone suing WWE over the independent contractor thing could break down the biggest of forbidden doors - AEW and WWE working together, except it's in a court room instead of in the ring.

Will get around to watching SNME tonight hopefully. Didn't sound like Punk and the YEET man was very good.

For old folks like me the WWE Vault put up another Georgia Championship Wrestling show. This one is from November 6, 1983 after the Last Battle Of Atlanta. Think this one was on the old WWE Network's hidden gems.

Brad Armstrong vs. Chief Joe Lightfoot.
Ronnie Garvin vs. Jake Roberts.
Jimmy Valiant vs. The Great Kabuki.
Buzz Sawyer vs. Abdullah the Butcher.
The Road Warriors vs. Dusty Rhodes & Bret Sawyer.
Tommy Rich vs. Ted DiBiase.

The wrestling ratings spiral continues. Of course SD was on Halloween and up against the World Series.

It was only inevitable they’d fall under a million soon. I suspect it will be back to that 1.2 million range next week. World Series, especially game 7 Saturday night, did massive numbers. Hell, I even watched some of game 7 and I hadn’t watched baseball in years.

I would also make an educated guess that WWE would especially be susceptible to damage from a holiday like Halloween given they want so many kids watching their shows.

Gotta give it to Chelsea considering she was released a few years ago then came back and buried in trash and pastries and just signed a new deal she must be enjoying it.
I think I read someone saying it was a super long deal, like five years or something. The E seems to be loving her work.

Getting this one out of the way now...

AEW has more titles than viewers.
Same with WWE now since they can't even draw a million viewers domestically.

I like the concept of the National title - if they stick with it. A title that goes everywhere to be defended including indies. That's what the Atlantic/International title was originally intended to be then stopped doing it after PAC lost it. Theoretically, this means it should be much more likely for someone who isn't a full-time AEW wrestler to win that title, like say someone from like CMLL or New Japan, for example.

It somewhat defeats the purpose of having unified the International and Continental titles though.
