My guess would be your second thought. He will tap again, and the rest turn on him and beat him down for turning into a wuss, what they purportedly hate. He might get a few months off out of it, and come back all face-y.

Who takes over the leadership role? If Gabe Kidd was ready to leave New Japan and come to AEW or at least go on an extended run with the company, I'd make it him. He's got the brightest future out of all of them, better talker than all of them, he'd fill that tough guy role very well, and he's excellent at drawing legitimate heel heat.

Otherwise, I'd probably go with Claudio. He's the most physically imposing and here's around regularly, unlike PAC.
PAC is the better talker but injured or back chilling in England half the time.
Yuta is a bum who loses all the time so it wouldn't make any sense at all. At least he's not a quitter though.
Garcia just joined and is not remotely ready for that role.
Shafir is just an enforcer who rarely ever wrestlers.

Skye Blue scares me in a match like this lol, she has some probably had some absolutely insane ideas for the match that TK and the producer(s) have had to reject.

Hopefully the crowd is very loud and hyped because Greensboro Coliseum looks like it's only going to be around 1/4 full. Or around 1/3 of what they had for Sting's retirement PPV, which they ended up opening up obstructed view seats for that one since everything else had sold out.

Apparently the Tokyo Dome is on the verge of a complete sell out for Wrestle Kingdom, and we’re still about 1.5 months away. Been a huge surge in sales since Okada got announced for it over the weekend.

The Tokyo Dome holds over 50K.

TNA Turning Point PPV is this Friday and the one and only new episode of TNA Impact airing since the last PPV will be tomorrow. Building a whole PPV in only 24 hours is insanity.

It’s been long deserved with the way the AEW women turn the dial up to 12 in hardcore/plunder matches.

It’s just a shame Penelope Ford and TayJay weren’t involved because they were three of the ones that helped set the tone for the women in those types of matches.
