It’s kinda crazy how much tk has invested in him to end up doing all this side stuff - doesn’t feel like he takes the biz seriously enough.
Darby will get the title one day because he's essentially become the heart of AEW which is odd considering I'm not sure how serious he takes the business. I mean, he up and left to climb a mountain at a time when fans were calling for him to "save AEW" and defeat a former WWE champion and current AEW champion. Punk called Darby out by name on night one of his return and that was out of respect, so clearly he saw something in him too. The fan reaction to him is interesting though. It's a lot of joking about how he has a death wish while others really seem to care about him. All in all, he'll likely be fine. Big E was safe as hell but will never wrestle again. What's going to destroy Darby is when he's in his 40s. Mick has walked like an injured 75 year old for the past 20 years. Johnny Knoxville has talked about being in constant pain because of countless injuries. That's Darby's real future.

It was never a fuc*ing sideshow. The Mexican wrestling company is no longer a sideshow now only because the white MAGA people came in to colonize it.
In America it was at one point, as recent as 30 years ago.
Just like midget wrestlin. But that entirely still is a sideshow.
I’m talkin when them masked luchadores came rasslin and flyin all over the place in the high school gyms back in the day. That was definitely a side show. Hell a lot of times was even advertised on the posters as such.
Now when the midgets wore masks and were advertised as MIDGET LUCHADORES… holy shiit it was gonna be a packed gym.
