Is AEW going after him?
I’m sure both AEW and WWE have expressed interest but I haven’t heard. I think he’s a better fit in AEW than WWE, but I think he has a pretty low ceiling in both companies. If money wasn’t a factor, staying in NJPW would be the by far better option.

Maybe TNA will make a run with their new TV money, but there’s better ways to spend it than on David Finlay.

Didn't see it but World's End must have been a pretty good since all the usual suspects are coming out of the weeds to complain about things on the show.
But how come no one is bringing up the Bron Breakker thing from a couple of weeks ago.
I can't believe I'm saying this but JD has a point, the stuff with Okada made no sense. However, the Moxley promo was to start the face turn.

This is partly why a certain subset of fans have the geek reputations they have. Those same geek fans defended Fletcher driving Cole's body onto the side of the ring and analyzed the clip like it was the Zapruder film to claim everything is fine. Not long after was Cole's forced retirement and him crying in the ring. Was it because of that move? Probably not. Doesn't make it any less stupid to do that to a guy with a history of concussions. The correct response to a wrestler landing on his skull isn't to capitalize the word 'disgusting' to sensationalize it and brag how we're SICKOS for watching. WTF kind of response is that?

This goof either works for AEW or lives in Asia or Europe because no one has ever seen this obsessed superfan at an AEW show before. We've seen Green Shirt Guy hundreds of times. Why haven't we seen this guy who literally only tweets about AEW at an AEW show? Am I mistaken? Who is this dude?

I like you as a poster but you play victim for AEW way too much. This thread and Reddit were all over Punk nearly injuring Breakker. Dragon brought it up here. Regal's post never mentions a company and he's worked in both. Bron was nearly injured, Big E is done, Piper is likely done, Cole is likely done, there were what, three near disasters during World's End? JD whiplashed himself into a table and punctured a lung, Darby is allowed to do really dumb stuff and fans encourage it, etc. It's gotten to a point in fandom where anything is defended and if a vet like Regal or Cornette calls it out, they're just oldheads with agendas no one needs to listen to. Per Omega's idiotic post regarding ANY criticism, "gift baskets and doing the splits for TKO." Cool I guess. Maybe in 2026 we'll see another wrestler in the ring crying and being forced to walk away.

Kevin Nash said on his podcast that he thinks CM Punk is done - as in meaning washed if you don’t read the quote.

“I watched (CM) Punk in the main event of that match last Monday. Number one, if you’re the Heavyweight Champion of the WWE and you wrestle in a t-shirt? Ouch. Number two, his punches looked really slow, he looked slow. I think he’s done. I think Bron (Breakker) should beat him.”

There’s still a lot of value left in Punk but his decline has been much more rapid over the last year or so.

The face turn started before that promo. His C2 post-match promos have been trending more babyface by the week.

But this has been some masterful booking/story telling of Moxley since he dropped the AEW title. They took the most hated man in the company - some of it even go away heat - and they’ve organically turned him into a babyface AND they made a guy who is the most decorated wrestler in the entire company into a plucky underdog for the Continental Classic. People were looking forward to his downfall in the C2 and then a month later cheering him on to winning the whole thing.

Can't really disagree with anything you said.

For the record, it was on a clothesline in a later match with Fletcher. He actually hit him in the chest on it instead of up high so I'm not sure what Fletcher was supposed to do there. The other concussion he got back at Forbidden Door in that 4 way match with Hangman, Okada, and Jay White that kept him out of actio for god knows how long was also as the result of a clothesline if I remember correctly. Seems he might be susceptible to concussions from clotheslines?

But the ring apron spot was indeed bad.

If anyone out there has been watching the old wrestling content on Peacock today is the last day before it goes away.

How was Raw last night? Still don't have Netflix so I only get to see clips.

The apron spot isn’t where Cole was hurt. It happened on a simple clothesline the next show IIRC.

I’m thinking TK had Mox win the C2 because 1.)absolutely everyone was convinced that Okada and Takeshita would meet in the finals with Takeshita winning. 2.)he probably wanted to separate the INT & Continental titles blnk in h ccs zßrr

I’m glad Mox is finally getting the praise he deserves. His title run was overhated. Downside of the face turn is he probably drops his death rider theme which is one of the best themes in wrestling.

I’m ready for the Mox turn because then hopefully that means Claudio gets pushed like a top guy for the first time ever (TK era ROH doesn’t count for me)
