On one hand AJ and Roman have great chemistry, on the other I'm pretty sure if I got into the ring with AJ he would make me look like Bret Hart. AJ made me like Roman a bit just because of their awesome matches. He can DIAF again soon though. Probably

Did not watch any of the show last night. Sounds like I missed a good one - outside of the Ambrose-Jericho match.

So Roman takes multiple chair shots and 2 - TWO - Styles Clashes and kicks out of everything. Yet a Spear on AJ gets the job done.

F*** off Vince.

Happy to hear that Seth is back. Cena back next week - Wyatt soon, Orton hopefully soon in a heel role. Main Event scene will be looking good.

^ As I copied from last week..."Remember that time Hall and Nash were brought it and were jobbing within a month...oh wait that didn't happen."
almost like:

"Remember that time WCW signed Bret Hart & few months later had him job in 3 straight pay per views? me neither."

Excited for Rollins' return.

Read that KO is in line for a main event push, will be fun to see if it happens and then see him in the mix.

New Day has to end eventually, right? They are so much fun - clearly a case of the total being greater than the sum of the parts.

NOt surprisingly Adam Rose was released today..

If you believe what you see on line, Crazy Grandpa is now a huge fan of Owens, which he should be.
Still want to see them put the IC title on Cesaro.

Not sure why but Grandpa is high on Dana Brooke as well, that is why she was on where she was last night. I haven't been impressed with her, but they didn't ask me.

I think New Day will end up being like the Freebirds. Michael Hayes was the one constant in that team...I see Xavier Woods in that role with that dang trombone. Buddy Roberts was the 'wrestler', much like Kofi is with New Day, but I can see Kofi moving on eventually. Terry Gordy was the muscle for the 'Birds, as Big E is for the Day...but E is more entertaining than Bam Bam ever was (and I was a huge Bam Bam mark).

what would New Day be like as a heel stable helping Big E win/keep the world title? I think it is worth a shot IMO.

I bet KO wins the MITB briefcase.

I don't know who I want Reigns to drop the title to. I'm torn because I want to see that Cena vs heel Reigns match but I also want to see Rollins vs KO.

Roman and AJ both put on one hell of a show tonight. Booking needs to just face the fact that the days of face/heel is over. The business has been exposed for 20 years. Fans pick and choose their favorites by who they like, not by what the storyline says. Austin and Rock were both traditional heels (in the pre exposed era) but were over big time with the crowd in modern times. Let Roman do his thing, being dirty, cheap, and I guarantee he will get over. The fans have been smartened up and boo simply because Vince is being ridiculous with him. The kid has all the makings of a superstar, just run with it!
I think the crowd can still be manipulated but in WWE's case:

  1. Vince's time has passed.
    1. He is playing tic tac toe when he should be playing chess
  2. WWE is a corporation and is beholden to its stock holders.
    1. Do not upset the stock holders.
  3. The WWE writers have several things going against them.
    1. Vince makes the final decisions so why should they even try
    2. They will get paid anyway unless Vince gets upset and fires them so it is best to figure out what Vince likes and stick to that.
    3. PG rated
I think booking now takes genius level cunning and agility. I am just some Jabroni on a message board but I think it can be done. You just have to work inside the framework given which is easy too say. :chairshot:

Actually what will happen is Vince will decide that Rollins was great as a heel so let's have him be chkn **** heel again and they will try that and he will get so many huge crowd pops and Vince might finally explode in his fits of rage.

I can hear it now backstage......WTH is wrong with these people!!!! How can you cheer these tactics!!!!! Roman is so pretty you'd think they would get the drift here and cheer him after all these heels he overcomes.......but noooooo, they cheer the bad guys and all their bad guy tactics!!!!! GD millennials!!!!!

Are we really going to go down this road with Rollins as a heel?

Um, yes!

Apollo Crews maybe as A new member of New Day ? I would be down with that. I think it is time to either disband, or add on to New Day. The 3 man show is getting stale. (huge New Day fan at first when it was fresh)

hell, let him join, run with it a while, then have the group of 4 get into an argument, disband into 2 groups of 2, and let em feud that way for a while. Clearly Crews and Big E would have to be on separate teams because them together wouldn't be fair.

All you really have to do is look at Bullet Club (or the Freebirds as I mentioned earlier) Have one of the original 3 as the constant member, and rotate guys in and out as needed.

I was suggestion him joining because it does not look as though he is good enough to go solo. Hop on a hot rocket that is New Day before they lose their sizzle and ride the **** out of it until it crashes, then feud amongst themselves like The Shield and even the other stables that broke up.
I told my son last night the Crews reminds me of a smaller version of Bobby Lashley. Not just in the muscled up black guy way, but how he carries himself in the ring.

Did anyone watch the interview with Shane McMahon last night?? Wondering if there was anything of note, might get around to it at some point.

So NXT is coming to Evansville next Thursday and Nashville next Friday. Would love to see one of those shows.

They are also going to run a show at the old Center Stage Theater in Atlanta on Saturday where WCW used to tape shows.

Couple thoughts after watching RAW on DVR...

MITB is just the guys that lost the IC match plus the continuation of the Ambrose/Jericho feud...how original but I think KO wins it

Glad Charlotte finally broke away from Ric. I said a week or two ago that in order for her to become a superstar she had to not be in his shadow.

I can get behind a brand split - if they do it right.

  • One champion.
  • One tag title.
  • Let challenger come from SD one month, RAW the next.
  • No annual draft.

I would be okay with that but got a feeling that it will not be ran that way.

Vince has always operated his promotion that the World Title is what the main storylines and main event is all about. so we probably go back to the pre unification time of WWE Champ and World Champ on each show.

I read earlier that NXT is coming to an end.

Implication is that the roster will be folded into the main roster for the draft with the NXT title becoming a world title.

Will miss NXT. WWE will always need a AAA level.

Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Commission has dropped their blood rule so there's a pretty good chance of a Raw, Smackdown, or PPV coming back to Rupp or the Yum Center in the next couple years.

Yeah I saw something about that, the next Takeover show is now being called Takeover: The End.
Horrible idea in my opinion if that does happen. NXT has been the one thing I look forward to watching every week when Raw and SD have sucked.

Which I found the whole thing to be stupid to begin with since WWE has pretty much had a "No Blood" policy for the last 5 or 6 years.

WWE's no blood policy was different than Kentucky's no blood policy. The match goes on in WWE if someone accidentally bleeds, under the old Kentucky policy, the match would have been required to end immediately, story line be damned.

Why wouldn't/couldn't/shouldn't they turn Smackdown into a live AAA or NXT broadcast? Let Raw be the one live weekly 'major league' show and use the other broadcast liked they've used NXT... only in a live format.

This would be awesome - I'd watch just to see Nakamura every Tuesday.

Are you guys freaking serious about NXT? That is awful news. The NXT environment is incredible and fun for old school fans. I have no desire to watch SmackDown. I don't give a **** about SmackDown and never have. For its last few years, that brand was by far a pitiful B show and its title matches were even opening PPVs.

I am 100 percent against a brand split. I think it's awful and it kills potential matches and feuds. Do you all remember when we saw Randy Orton vs Christian for five straight PPVs?
