only took 1 week for them to do an 'invasion' angle, lol. good stuff though.

I say let Gallows & Anderson win the tag belts soon then have Enzo & Cass do the long chase that culminates at WM. split up New Day & let E have a few main events with Rollins for the universal title ([eyeroll]), see if he has headliner chops or destined for US/IC level.

is it time to start calling it the curse of winning the WM main event? Daniel Bryan, then soon thereafter suffers ultimately career ending injuries. Seth Rollins, blows out knee few months later. Roman zooming down to midcard hell has fallen off faster than those 2.

Thought Raw was a pretty good show last night. Like most of you enjoyed the end, thought it was a nice way to end it.

I don't think you break up the New Day, but they are past the point of needing the belts. I think The Club should win at Summerslam and I like the idea of them holding the titles until WM.

Not only is today my anniversary but it is also the anniversary of the greatest ECW show ever. Heat Wave 98 which I was there live for in Dayton.

I liked the Raw ending, and I don't usually give a damn about Orton. I don't know if absence makes the heart grow fonder or if it's because I think he and Brock will have a solid match.

I'm not near the fan of his as the rest of the thread. When I praise something Orton's done, it's high praise.

Looks like SD will have their own women's and tag belts...interesting since RAW stacked those divisions.

breaking up New Day wouldn't do any of em any favors. This isn't like breaking up the Rockers or the Hart Foundation or the British Bulldogs. None of those 3 have enough talent to really get over as a singles guy. They've all tried it. I can't see any of em as even an IC champ. As a team... they're great because they feed off each other. As individuals... meh. Whatever.
This. Kofi at one time was over enough to be IC champ, but that time has come and gone. His role in the business now is mid card hell and the dude who does creative ish at the Royal Rumble.

They tried it with Big E, and he couldn't get over. The gimmick he has now doesn't work by himself, he needs the rest of the New Day to pull it off. Besides, as soon as he were to get a rocket up his ***, he becomes exactly what most of us hate, the big guy getting pushed just because he is big and has the look Vince fondles himself over. See:Ryback, Roman, Batista, and Cena. Stay in your lane, Big E. It's working for you.

Woods, meh. Maybe he could do a nice singles run, but I think his career would be on par with Kofi. Might as well stick with what works.

Plus, after splitting the brands, the tag team division went from a fair amount of tag teams, to very slim on both shows. Raw has what, New Day, Enzo and Cass, and The Club? Gotta keep them around so that the tag division at least has some depth.

And don't get me wrong, I know I sound like LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE! guy/girl/it/whatever you call a crossdresser these days, but I actually don't like The New Day. In ring they are ok, but I gotta mute the TV or change the channel when they have a mic. I'm just making the point that I realize they are over, their gimmick works with the fans, and there's no signs any of the three benefit from splitting them up.

You have to. Otherwise, why have women and tag teams on SD?

Becky and Natalya have a real chance to shine on SD now, Lord knows Natalya has been made to do enough stupid ish in her career to earn a good run. Even Kane shook his head at the farting gimmick she had to go through.

The problem is they gotta put these new girls over to build their legitimacy up, and there is where I feel WWE will f*** it up. See my posts from last week about Eva Marie.

Tag teams in SD could be fun. American Alphas should be the face of that division. They remind me a lot of the Steiners way back when I first got into wrestling as a kid. With SD having basically all young tag teams, it could be what I hope Raw's cruiser weight division is, and be a lot of fun to watch.

I'm a big believer in tag team wrestling, and my hope is that as WWE evolves more towards what Triple H's vision of it is, that we'll see tag team wrestling become more prevalent. I know Vince has never really embraced it the way the south did, but Triple H is such a big Minnesota Wrecking Crew mark that I think we could get a nice stretch of tag teams here soon.

How good is tag team wrestling when done right? The classic Flair vs. Sting star-making match from Clash of the Champions I was the third best match on the card. And it was a great match. But the two tag matches that preceded it (Midnight Express vs. Fantastics and Luger/Windham vs. Arn/Tully) were WAY better.

Especially the Arn/Tully match. That's the best sub-10 minute match I've ever seen.

For real Dolph? finally get the push and you trip during the beginning of your entrance? He should have played it off and did a tumble like the old spirit squad days.

So, is Ambrose heel now? That promo was very heelish. Also, Ziggler didn't exactly get a vote of confidence when Bray asked if that was who the fans wanted to see as champion. Pretty weak response with no being the word heard.

WTF was that about? I mean, I totally buy Eva Marie botching walking, but that was just stupid.

What'd she do?
Absolutely nothing. Walked to the ring just fine, and then fakes a knee injury. Ref calls off the match, and her selling this fake knee injury is God awful. Looked like she was corpsing, and I was thinking any time she was gonna blindside Becky. Nope. Match just doesn't happen. They walk her to the back, and that's that.

The other women's match was just as head scratching. It didn't even make it to the ring, but at least there was confrontation. Natalya blindsided Carmella during her entrance. Put her in the sharpshooter and you get a no contest.

So last week we got one of the best women's matches that's been on free tv, and this week, two non-matches. Ok.

I gotta give the edge to this one:

Firm believer that Yukon John actually holds the secret to time travel, went forward in time, saw this promo, came back to his present time, and just sucked trying to recreate it.

Since Smackdown is getting tag belts and a women's belt will the ones on Raw now be called the WWE "Universal" Champions and Smackdown the WWE "World" Champions to keep the same theme that no matter what Raw is better?

Rhyno defeated two other Republican contenders to win the party’s primary, and he will now face a Democratic challenger for term-limited Democrat George Darany’s seat in the Michigan House of Representatives.

The what era was awful, I agree. Just think the two promos mirror each other. Both wrestlers wanna tell a story, pause after about five words at a time, have a story of eating/drinking obscene amounts, and neither Bischoff or Cole look interested in what either have to say.

The thing is that Vince sees Lesnar as a bigger name then Cena or Orton and as you know that isn't the case. Now Brock is mainstream now, butr just a part timer that at times will bore you. His booking is to much since beating Taker. He's not the monster they think they have when he steps in the ring with Randy. Randy will work laps around him.

It's time he loses and to the best they offer in Randy Orton.

Just now watching SDL, I like heelish Ambrose.

Found Axis and NJPW on Dish. DVR. Old episodes. Happiness.

Matt Hardy in general can go screw after his "suicide" video. I've had friends kill themselves. That isn't a work.

The V1 gimmick REALLY doesn't hold up well. Up there with the York Foundation, which happened in 1991.

Bet you never heard of an *** explosion match either. The Japanese, man.

That said, I would give anything if WWE had Japanese announcers we could listen to. You don't have a clue what they are saying, but they are always cranked to 10.

Splitting up New Day would be like splitting up the New Age Outlaws so you could put the strap on Road Dogg.

Give me as much Orton and Lesnar as possible. Orton is the perfect mix of size and crazy to be somewhat believable against Brock without it being some clash of the Titans that becomes a slow, punch fest. Both guys also work as the "heel" that we actually all like because they're so fun to watch.

Think the facts on screen are fun, but gives off a silly vibe that doesn't mesh with elite level guys and the drama they're looking to build. Good idea for new guys and lower card stuff, but no place among the title contenders.

I like your posts, but I don't understand a word one of what you just posted.

Maybe this all happened in the 9 years or so I forgot wrestling existed because it was so boring and ****** (thanks, John Cena).
In 2002 when they did the first roster split, they broke up the Hardy Boys, Matt Hardy turned heel and did this gimmick called Matt Hardy Version 1, which was supposed to be pretty internet-savvy at the time. And maybe it was. But it doesn't hold up well. Like Real Player.

Around the time of his second firing from WWE, Matt Hardy made a YouTube "goodbye" video where it was strongly implicated that he was going to kill himself, only to find out it was some kind of crazy angle he came up with. And that sucks.

Did not know that about Hardy. Yeah, he can seriously get touched for doing that. Not cool.

So, with that and broken Matt Hardy, think it is safe to say no legit company lets him near a book or creative. I know people like Jericho and Foley have praised it, but it is early 90's WCW level awful. I'm talking Sting going to the White Castle of Fear awful. Jake Roberts and Sting "Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal awful. Hogan going to the Dungeon of Doom awful.

The problem with the Final Deletion is the same problem I have with Sharknado. It's so obviously trying to be bad on purpose that it can't be "so bad it's good."

Samurai Cop, The Room, etc. are all hilarious because they are so entirely unself-aware. It's the reason Sting and Robocop is hilarious; Jim Ross and WCW were trying to kayfabe the world that Robocop was real and was big buds with the Stinger FOR GD REAL

All of that is to say, Matt Hardy suckz
