I have no doubts we could turn out a product better than we get now. If I ever win the Powerball when it is at like 500 million, first thing I'm doing is calling Dixie Carter. Next thing I'm doing is making most of this thread creative/booking.Give the CI Wrestling Thread the book, Exhibit #8,972,071,694,358,262.
Seriously. I believe in us. We can do it.

I just figured HHH was going to pedigree Owens too and cover both Owens and Rollins and walk out with the belt like he did at Royal Rumble.
To this day, I wish someone had the means to buy WCW and hire Heyman to just do the book. TNA never happens, and WWE would still have legit competition.
The Time Warner dude hated wrestling so much that he would have pulled the plug on WCW even if they were putting up 1997 numbers at the time.To this day, I wish someone had the means to buy WCW and hire Heyman to just do the book. TNA never happens, and WWE would still have legit competition.
Yeah, but I guarantee had someone came in with a good offer to trump Vince's $2mil offer, they would have told Vince to go get pumped. In the real world Vince would have probably won out just to sling his caulk around and say he killed them, but that's why I said I wish it could have happened. The problem was that TimeWarner wanted nothing to do with it once they bought out Turner. Rather than sell WCW for what it was worth they gave away a lot of stuff and just shut it down...dumb move, but hey, it's TimeWarner.
I've already given my opinion on the Hogan match of 97 with my NWO fantasy booking a while back. That match never should have happened. Sting needed to still be away from WCW, and the NWO running wild. The Time Warner dude hated wrestling so much that he would have pulled the plug on WCW even if they were putting up 1997 numbers at the time.
I do wish Bischoff and his company could have struck up a relationship with some TV company because they did have the money to buy WCW, just no TV deal.
More than anything, I wish Starrcade 1997 had been booked in the opposite manner of how it actually was, where the heels won (or "won" in Hogan's case) EVERY match on the card. Learn biggest show of the year, fellas.
Because that's how you take a barricade/turnbuckle bump facing backwards. You hook your arms over the barricade/top rope and take the contact to your upper back. Balor did what you are supposed to do.can't figure out why people are blaming Rollins for Balor's injury.....if Balor hadn't reached back and just took the barricade shot to the back, he wouldn't have injured his shoulder.

Flair turning on Sting came to mind for me.the finish last night reminded me of something they would've done to end Raw in like 1994.
Crush turning on Macho came to mind for some reason.
I think I've figured it out.
HHH was mad at Rollins for hurting his NXT guy, Balor. HHH picked another NXT guy to hold the title and we're getting a NXT invasion.
Well, that's my fantasy booking, at least.
Creative or HHH came to a decision that while they were giving the internet fan what they want that they needed an out just it case it doesn't go over. Enter HHH giving it to KO instead of him earning it that way IF they have to take it back quickly they can and still keep KO heelish enough to mean something.
That is the only reason they went the way they did. Even though it really comes off as HHH needing to inject himself in the booking, he has become Vince in that he has to be involved to a degree to give things legitimacy.

I agree I think they are going to play the jealousy angle with HHH. A young gun who has his finisher and now wants his wife. There are plenty of ways to play it but I think that was Stephanie's "I think I am going to cry look" as HHH walked outWhat's the story with KO and Cornette or is it HHH/Cornette (in which case I assume bitterness and jealously about someone with more success).
My HHH-Rollins angle? Rollins is always hugging Steph. HHH don't care for Rollins touching his wife. Steph is flattered that a young guy pays attention after she spat out kids while her husband works constantly, but she doesn't go there. Blur the lines, make Steph sympathetic.
It's a shame ROH has gone into a bit of a funk since Rollins and Owens left. Closest thing they have to a guy getting a world title now is Mike Bennett, who is a fine wrestler, but a significant step below all those guys, and also in TNA.I read that theory on my twitter feed last night too. That's a dope storyline.
Anyways, I poorly made this last night just to show some perspective on the greatness of Ring of Honor and how they make stars.

And you know A.J. will be on there soon.

Also, to each his own, but I give AJ Styles credit for AJ Styles. He was already a TNA star by the time he hit it big in ROH, but then at the same time, TNA basically treated him like WCW treated Sting, pretty much casting him off every time a new ex-WWE guy came into the fold, making every effort to bury him and put him in the background, screw him at every turn. And he's still here. AJ Styles is the best.
Ask and ye shall receiveThink WCW had that in about two months in the year 2000.
This on AJ. I remember years ago, when I worked my first TNA house show, AJ was on the card, and was the first talent in the building that day. As soon as the ring was up, he was in it running his spots for his match. Also, to each his own, but I give AJ Styles credit for AJ Styles.
