He takes every chance to say something about him negatively. Last year, before the Hawaiian punch, he talked about Stansbury's NCAA troubles @ State on his show. As far as I know - our basketball program has never been investigated.

As for Stans and the NCAA-
He had to battle with them over Bost, which was one that he won and was a total surprise because Bost didnt deserve it.
He had to battle with them over Sidney, which was one that he lost and it was all Sidney's crew's fault for creating the delays.
He had to battle with them over Austin, which was one that he won. I swear there was a ton of speculation over how MSU landed him.

I would say Stans has had NCAA troubles, even if it hasnt been all about shady recruiting. He has had players who have managed to get suspended by the NCAA.</p>

Our AD has set the standard for the season:<div>
</div><div>The Recruiter makes the Tourney- he keeps his job</div><div>The Recruiter misses the Tourney- he loses his job</div><div>
</div><div>I just simply feel this team has the talent to be a Sweet 16 level team, and would like to see us not underachieve for a change</div>

I'm not sure if its his arrogance or insecurity, but I love/hate how he qualifies EVERY comment he makes about college basketball by reminding the listeners that he played college basketball at OSU.

HA HA HA HA HA!

That was a good one!

You phrase comments so your agenda is met. You selectively cite websites and polls while flat out ignoring the huge amount of em that dont support your agenda.

Call it a heavy preference if you want, its all the same.

I dont even disagree with your views all the time and its hilarious to even me that you claim you dont have one.

Don't forget how the NCAA just stuck it to us again this year on the Eligibility of Zeidaks...Another loss to the NCAA..
This is probably the worst ruling yet.

Then why label me a Stans Apologist when I question the supposed talent level this team has.

I haven't even brought Stans into the conversation, but yet I'm an apologist. That shows where your true motives lie. Not that any of us didn't already know.

For the record, I agree with parting ways with Stansbury should we not make the tournament this year.

you may not be 100%- but you are higher than 75% on the defense....<div>
</div><div>The NBA scouts and coaches have said we have that type of talent- it wasnt me saying it. Question them.</div><div>

A month or so ago, I thought he said, we could be a surprise team this year, or something along those lines.

Bury has noone to blame but his own *** for the rep he has nationally. He's perceived as a low budget, unsophisticated, over-his-head, AAU ***** using John. In other words, like a low rent Calipari without the coaching ability. Sure, Gottlieb is pure ***. But how do you argue with his "circus" perception? It's accurate. Bury runs a f'n circus. You got midgets with ancient jewish names running wild. You got the short, screaming woman who scares people. You got he-man, wife-beater clad rasslin. You got clowns running loose with smart phones creating mischief. You got unpronouncable named foreigners performing disappearing acts. STEP RIGHT UP, MFERS !11!!11!

I don't guess we will see the bowtie wearing midget this year though.

You do realize Calipari's offense is a dribble-drive offense right? Meaning they pass it around and take turns trying to drive to the basket. I wouldn'tcredit too much coaching ability there.

Shmuley's posts are typically excellent and this one is brilliant when compared to his usual excellence.

There's a reason why people like Gotlieb talk down about MSU. They watch us play two possessions and think, "what the hell does their coach do?" Then we get in a fight on national television. What do you expect them to talk about? How the fans are content with nonexistent SEC West titles? Until Stansbury does something, he will always be considered a joke by the media. You can't play fundamental-less, motion-less, passion-less basketball for over a decade without accomplishing anything and expect to get positive feedback from the national media.

I would never try to take any creditfor anyone else's work, but I am honored tobe able to say that this post occurred in a threadI started. Thinking about printing the thread out and framing it.Just golden!

Remember Mario Austin? His transcripts were investigated twice. And back when Johannigsmeir was looking into Sherrill's program, he spent one day interviewing 4 or 5 basketball players. But, as far as I know nothing ever came from those investigations, other than Mario missing some games while waiting on NCAA clearance.
