bad at LB last year which is why he was moved to Defensive Line? Seem to recall his lateral
movement was an issue. He is being moved back to MLB. This is not really an Ole Miss topic since
he was committed to us for 12 months and only committed to them for 12 days**.

I thought they moved him to DE because he was a fatass.

Probably best for him. He was an undersized DE - I think about 6'2" 235

I assume about the size of Skinner

He showed up to 2 adays and had gained like 40 or 50 lbs since January. Not the good kind of weight.

And I think what also happened was they lost their DE to injury in camp.

It was a quick way to plug the hole, and I'm 10000000% sure Nutt sold him immediate playing time. Their LB corp last year wasn't actually TOO bad.

Glad that cancer never showed up here. It hurt at the time but that kid has some issues. Major issues. Yet another Philidelphia bust.

He is starting in the SEC his sophmore year. I wouldn't be so quick to call him a bust.

The knock on CJ is definitely his lateral movement. He's pretty good with straight line speed, but he will get juked out of his cleats in the open field.

Issues? Like what? From all accounts within the program he has become a leader, ahead of some of the juniors and seniors. Please, explain what issues he has that makes him a cancer on this, or any, program.

A leader on 2 different teams (2011, 2012) that finished as the worst offense in league history and so far this season allowed the most points in one game in nearly 100 years? I think Pacman Jones could be a leader on that team.

The fact is you have a guy who has the university by the balls (Z71), who showed up COMPLETELY out of shape last season... So much he played DL, and he talks **** (see his recruitment, he talked **** about Ole Miss, went to Ole Miss, ran his mouth about us, and ran his mouth during that turd of a season).

That defense made Ash, an average at best QB, the national QB of the week. Don't hype him up as a leader when he hasn't done one thing note worthy since showing up.

Some of you deemed him the 2nd coming of Willis. That's not happening.

He hurts y'all on several accounts. All Dan needs to do now is point to CJ ANY time a situation like him ever comes up.

Anyone with a heartbeat and half a brain could have started on their D last yr**

Which isn't saying much. And this year's D appears to be a very similar group of bullfighters when it comes to stopping any offense.

I hate CJ as much as the next guy

but I don't see a cancer to the team. I watched him bust his *** in the Texas game no matter how ****** their defense is and the announcer said he was trying to rally the troops all night. As much as I hate to admit, he's about the only bright spot on Ole Miss's defense.

If a 6'2" 240 lbs. true Soph DE is starting ahead of Jr's and Sr's, I believe that says more about your Jr's and Sr's ability than the starter. That kid would be starting to play special teams this year for most SEC schools. I'm not knocking CJ's talent. He just should have taken a red shirt and worked to get in shape to play LB / special teams this year, but what can you do when your defense sucks that bad.

Philadelphia Busts? (Not tits)

First let me note that I am a Bulldog. Second, let me note that this isnt my first post....I just didnt want to put DS through the trouble of moving all of my info over when I could just sign up again. My question is this. Who are the Philadelphia busts that you seem to have an issue with? If you are talking about Dupree, you are mistaken. He took the USFL money just like Jim Kelly, Hershel Walker, Steve Young, and many others did. The only difference is that they didnt blow out a knee while playing in that **** league like he did. If you have ever torn an ACL, MCL and meniscus at the same time, you would know that its damn near impossible to make a full recovery from. Which Marcus did. Footnote here.....since his 30 for 30, he is now on the professional speaking circuit and doing fine.

I believe that most here would agree that Derreck Rush wasnt a bust for MSU. Thought he had a pretty decent career for us after he transferred in from MC after not being recruited by JWS.....who noted that he never missed on a recruit as bad as he did Rush.

Fred McAfee, Derrick Hoskins, Tim Edwards....all with multi year NFL careers. I dont believe that Josh Boyd is doing that bad either. And Tyriq Patrick is starting at Memphis for what thats worth.......so who are the Philadelphia busts you are talking about??

As for CJ......his defection pissed me off just as bad as anyone. The only thing that I can guess is that he did what he had to do. He gained weight at the request of the coaching staff....so you really cant go there. He had a respectable freshman season, with 10 tackles against us. And his sophomore season is shaping up to be pretty darn good too. I really think you are off base here. How many true freshmen start in the SEC? CJ, like him or not, is having and will continue to have a stellar career in the SEC. He is certainly not a bust. As for his being a loudmouth, sure, but as Fred Smoot says, it aint trash talking if you can back it up, which so far, like it or not, CJ has done.
