The vicious circle continues

They turn us in. We turn them in. They turn us in. We turn them in. etc, and so forth and so on... It appears neither side is smart enough to learn from the past. No one is better at keeping us down than ourselves.

I always look at it like this

I don't care how they fill their pantry and I don't care how we fill ours. But if you come raid my pantry to fill yours then the gloves are off.

I'm not saying the coaches should quit recruiting kids when they commit to another school - all i'm saying it i understand why the coaches/boosters on both sides get overly protective when somebody comes and steals a commit and it's a business decision (ala Robert elliott and CJ).

Guys like Brassell and Tobias were different b/c most realistic MSU fans were happy they were committed but skeptical it would really last until signing day

"Rebels say no wrongdoing found." Of course they do.

with the pictures, the twitter posts, and Johnson bragging on his new truck ironically on the first day of class it gives the the NCAA a roadmap of the going on there. If the NCAA leaves with no wrongdoing found.... We have to lay out mega bucks to upgrade the compliance department to catch up with the rest of the SEC. This bending over for the NCAA while they come around after every scheme by UM to drum up petty **** has got to stop. Get a clue from the Auburns of the world and slam the door in their face and yell "prove it!" Through it while they stand there. Then self report nothing more than a player picking up a penny out of the tray at the convenience store.

NCAA asked Byars Furniture if someone bought a house full of furniture for CJ's mom or her boyfriend. The answer was no.

Message board hero.
And there you have it. There's no way a business would lie to protect a big customer in a small town. Forget the fact that the byars are OM fans also

What ******* difference does it make? Does anybody here want to play ******* ball or lets just take the ball and go home? Do you or any of the other floating turds on here think its the new bible tweets turning things around for our recruiting? Has it occurred to anyone that CJ could tell someone where his MSU "offers" came from? Do all of you think Jones dad turned down $50,000 from ole miss because his son's heart was with MSU? Idiots. 90% percent of our fans are idiots.
People that want the NCAA here in MS...where WE can't afford another infraction should just quit breathing.

So the plan is to let UM drum up **** on MSU... Take it like a ***** while they are doing worse... And then turn a blind eye to their transgressions? That 17n brilliant. How has that worked for us the past few decades?

UM was hanging on a thread and at a huge disadvantage by having to go through jones' dad. Mom was and is all MSU and that is who has been there for him.

Was UM concerned with that alleged offer when pushing Devinner to make up **** on the radio about MSU? Nope.

You seriously think this is driven by something MSU related? If MSU was going to tattle about CJ, do you think it would have taken this long to get rolling? This is one of two things: (1) The NCAA looking for a sacrificial lamb to take the focus off of JFF so they dusted off some information they had about CJ or (2) the NCAA letting UM know, at the behest of teams like UGA, that while they are not interested in policing recruiting shenanigans, there are unwritten rules to follow and they are not going to let every podunk school go and start bidding wars with the big boys.

Neither is particularly good for MSU, but I think the first one is better, as they will simply be looking to punish somebody for show, and there is less chance that something MSU related will be drug up.

I don't think MSU had anything to do with it. I think some "working class hero" took it upon himself. Got his info from 3 years of message board material, joined a new message board and it gave a him giant hard on.

I'm originally from Philadelphia. Know Byars. He's a fairly big State fan and anybody paying him cash to hook up CJ's mom on behalf of ole miss (whom I also know...knew his father) would have to be stupid. Byars wouldn't mind taking the money at the time and then being honest with the NCAA.
Anybody else from Neshoba County can back that up, I believe.

My whole point is you can't play the game and bring investigations over here. One or the other. But if its the other, we have to be clean. Anybody think we're clean?

I brought the whole thing up. Just ask NAFOOM where they still post about me every single week. Maybe Rebels7 could verify as well.

Well we did just survive an investigation that turned up very little wrongdoing by the school itself. We also are not a team that was 2-10 a couple years ago that suddenly popped up with a top 3 recruiting class.

If the NCAA responds to every message board hero with allegations, it would at most be a cursory review and they're not going to dig deep enough to find anything on Ole Miss or anybody else. But i kind of I doubt they can even read all the correspondence that pissed off fans send them about recruiting violations, much less respond to them.

not upset. Low tolerance for some things though, that include watching folks cut off noses to spite faces. My wife gets this type of reaction once in awhile for the same offense.

And the guy who bought Goldie his SUV is still in jail for embezzlement

Rebels never find any wrongdoing. When Goldie McClendon got his SUV and somehow mysteriously missed his entire SR season, the Rebels found no wrongdoing.

Tax evasion..etc... One of Tate county's finest.

And some of our fans need to understand as well. NEVER has a school go on probation for a player that didn't play at that school. It doesn't matter if we offered CJ 12 million dollars and it is proven. He's not our player and he took the other offer- if we even offered at all.

Do you think Ole Miss didn't offer Will Redmond anything?

To Todd4State: I understand your point. Here's mine. The same boosters that were friendly with CJ haven't all died of old age. CJ knows who they are. Why Sendcthe NCAA to talk to them?

I know more than I will ever tell about boosters of both schools and Jones. I won't tell what I know about Ole Miss because they know what I know about about us. Why would I or you or anyone from MSU want anybody snooping in state? It's so damn stupid, childish even. If Ole Miss gets spanked for CJ, which happened under the snake oil man, no huge deal for them.
How many schollies did we give up? If we get nailed for...lets say... Anybody...while we are currently on probation, we are in deep ****. I'm saying don't play with fire.
They know. Their boosters know. Let it go. Lets do what it takes to win 12 games...not 1. Ole Miss is one game. These days probation wouldn't guarantee us a win against anybody. Just like ours doesn't mean a loss this thanksgiving. But between the two schools our current probation puts us in a position where we need to just shut up and not give the NCAA a team to set an example with. They are itching to become relevant again, but they can **** on anybody else after letting us and Oregon off fairly easy. But infractions while on probation is a different monster and the NCAA needs to slay a monster.

Albert Means???

In fact, I think only the school he didn't go to got in trouble for that. I will not google to find out, though. Too much work.
