Hasn’t tried to wrap someone up on a tackle yet. Granted, we haven’t tackled well all day, but he’s gone in with just his shoulders on every freaking play he’s in on and they get additional yards every time because he doesn’t wrap up. Crap like that adds up and shows why our defense is struggling today. We’ve also been terrible at defending the outside the tackles. When the ends are able to contain, our LBs don’t make the play, and the other half of the time our ends and box safeties let them get the edge. It’s pretty embarrassing that ULL is doing it so easily on us.

That is not a valid reason to abandon fundamentals. You can’t be a good team if you don’t do the little things, and we aren’t doing them at all. Don’t contain and don’t wrap up. It’s flat out embarrassing.

Public service announcement: We are playing Louisiana Lafayette. You have to dominate this team. We have 9 and maybe 10 teams on the schedule better than these guys.

You mention Clemson in particular, they still dominated that game.

I'm seeing the same as Ruckus. Piss poor tackling and fundamentals, lackluster effort. Linebackers, which was supposed to be a strength, look flat footed.

Our all-sec linebacker looked fat-footed to me. We were slow as 17 today on defense.
