I feel bad for you senior citizens in the internet age
This has Jimmy Sexton written all over it.....basically warning Arkansas, Florida, and LSU that JF may be off the market so hurry up. Might also be a ploy for some of the schools that "may" be looking at making a change.
This has, obviously, not happened yet, but James would do very, very well at VTech. It would definitely be a big boy move for them, but the fan base would be delighted to win all but one or two games a year. He has several capable assistants on his Rolodex, as well as athletes that will follow him. In terms of recruiting, he will likely be hard to beat in the DMV. I wish him success,

Clarifying for myself: CJF to Virginia Tech as HFC is currently no more than a rumor.
Obviously just a rumor (and the $11M is clearly just a joke) but there has legit been smoke about this and it does make a lot of sense. Supposedly, he has also been talking to Arkansas but I think VA Tech would be more likely.
While I wouldn't want him to be recruiting directly against PSU, it would be great if he gets hired right away as it will reduce what PSU owes him.

College football troll is obviously not a great source of information, but there is enough chatter out there on X that I think this is a real possibility. I’d rather he go out west than our backyard.

Franklin wants to land somewhere where winning a national championship is possible. I would think he holds out for the FSU job. Va Tech is probably his plan E at this point
