sites. He stated that he told an olemiss reporter (probably yancy) that he was committed to MSU but was still keeping his options open. The reporter wrote an article saying that he was decommitted. Good ol yancy is stirring the pot, reportsa recruit hasdecommitted from us and then watches us melt down and call the kid out left and right. The bastard has been manipulating us.

Us? I have personally never put an ounce of thought into anything that comes form Yancy.

Not about your article, but about a single cornerback. We've got plenty of good ones on the team and committed. I'd love to have Whitehead, but his 4*'s really don't make or break us. I'd really like our high level 'star' guys to be trench guys and quarterback. The rest can just be solid players. And let's face it, Kendrick Market, Justin Cox and Zach Jackson have the same chance to be good players as Jermaine Whitehead.

feet and hip movement? He has a chance to be good. I agree that it all starts with the big men up front and that is where you start, but a good corner is worth their weight in gold as well. And whitehead has good grey matter as well which gives him an even better chance of turning out. You get all the talent you can and then let them wash out in the mix.

and some help in the Secondary - I would say we are very average at corner right now.

If we keep Whitehead, it will be a very good thing for us. I just hope we keep him and CJ and get some reaffirmations of commitments from them this weekend.

Ther was a video interview with Whitehead on one of the pay sites after the Gator Bowl where he was asked what he thought of the game. He used the word WE about 10 times. Talked about how he couldn't wait to get there. Didn't sound like he had one bit of uncertainty to him. Don't read too much into interviews conducted by folks with an agenda. Yes he is very good, yes we need him, & yes he will be a Bulldog. </p>
