His article makes no sense. He said State could not match Florida's money. If Mullen, goes to Florida it will not be because of money (at least at the beginning). Florida will not offer a coach with only 2 years experience more than we can pay him, even with the ties to their program. CL blew the Miami thing out of proportion and RC (in my opinion) should not have put such a negative light on the situation. No poster sesho.
Not saying it was a Pulitzer winning piece. It was simply another summary of the obvious by Rick Cleveland. I really don't see what is irritating you so bad about him saying Florida can outbid us for Mullen if that's what it comes down to. That's all I'm getting out of it. If it comes down to money, we're SOL. So, we hope they find somebody else, or there's more to it than money. Because all other things equal, you don't win a bidding war with Florida or Texas, and you don't get involved in a land war in Asia.
