Quick Dak story:
Back when he was a freshman, just on campus and still an unknown, he was over at the house of the coach who recruited him. My daughter happened to be there playing with the coach’s daughter (they were around 10 or 11 at the time). Dak hung out with them, shot baseball, and just took time with them.

Fast forward a few years and he’s the man in Starkville. After some big games my daughter and the coaches would be out on the field, and Dak always stopped to take pictures with them—and he never forgot my kid’s name.

Then comes his rookie year with the Cowboys. Now he’s not just the man in Starkville or the SEC—he’s everywhere. He came back for a baseball game, sitting in the lounge with security all around him and a crowd of people begging for autographs. In the middle of all that, he spotted my daughter, waved her over, remembered her name, and asked how she was doing.

Needless to say, I’m a huge Dak fan, and this video doesn't surprise me.

What's really a shame is that in this new environment, he'd have probably been given some kind of godfather offer from LSU after his sophomore year and we'd be left holding the bag. I hate the new college sports.

Very thankful he's a dog. Great representative for us.
