I am certain Ole Miss will do the right thing and take the next three weeks or so to really sort this whole thing out and then take a hard stand and suspend the culprits for the Idaho game.

Yes I'm dismissing it. Was it wrong? Damn right, but suspending the players? Come on! Check twitter accounts for just about any football player on any team and you are going to see much worse. There is a lesson to be learned here, but demanding suspension is ridiculous.
Hey Clay..... I think that being gay is a sin, and I am FAR from stupid or ignorant...... you *******....Just because most people in the south choose to define their lives by the principles from a book written thousands of years ago does not mean we are stupid or ignorant.
Now, I would not hurl insults at a gay person for being gay. I was taught to treat others how I would want to be treated. Nor do I consider myself homophobic in any way, shape, or form.
Its ok to think being gay is wrong. I don't have to sit back and take the insults you sling at southern Christians for simply being against an act we consider to be a sin. And I don't care if you were born that way or not. To me, that's not even the argument.
I agree with the parts about the football players being cocksuckers at the play, but not about summing up most southerners as "ignorant, racist, homophobes"....

I think punishing the entire sports program because some undetermined number of fball players acted like idiots is a bit extreme. Frankly, I can understand why the actors might get torqued--not by the message itself as much as the disruption when they are trying to work.
I suspect that self introspection by someone who feels truly offended by being called some stupid name by some stupid idiot (and in this case consider the source), would result in them realizing they aren't so much injured by the word itself than the idea they aren't accepted or liked by the name caller. Unfortunately, you can pass all the laws you want, but you can't legislate admiration, genuine respect or moral acceptance from another person. You can sometimes earn it, but there are some people so ignorant that you probably shouldn't care if they like you or not.

Yeah but the school suspended a guy in the grove for saying slurs. They wont do the same here.

Momma also says two wrongs dont make a right. Attempting to justify one wrong instance by citing other similar instances isnt acceptable. All that shows is there are more examples of wrong behavior.
on a side note- I dont follow a single player on Twitter. If I did, I would have a tough time cheering for them. It was a lesson I learned after following Jamont, Bost, and Moultrie. **** they were idiots.
Were they representing the football team or were they just there as individuals? That might impact whether they were suspended from the team.
I suppose one would also wonder why they even went to the play if they were that opposed to its content. Did they just go to cause a stir?
