Clayborn decides in a half hour? Ours to lose I'm guessing.

USM over MSU they can have him....
Like I said, he is MSU bound. Our coaches are working hard to get a commitment from Devin Farrior from Waynesboro.

position now where we can bring kids in and do this and frankly I don't blame the Bears for passing on him since they need guys that can play<div>on the offensive line right now and are not in the same position. He is a very high character kid that has good potential, the formula seems to be</div><div>working well for us, glad he has joined us.</div>

If he has the tools the staff is looking for, I don't care who we beat out for for his services. It's 6 months before signing day, so it is not like we have our backs against the wall to lock up OL. The staff obviously likes what they have seen or he would not have had an offer this early.

players our coaches feel have a lot of upside but are currently quite raw. As you said, given we have a number of younger players in front of both and don't need immediate playing time from these guys they are players we can take and develop to their full potential before throwing them out on the front lines.

don't post 'stuff' from other boards, especially premium sites but this post by Gene on Clayborn's announcement, I just could not resist ...

Steve, the only internet MSU reporter at Justin's press conference, just arrived at McDonald's where he will post his photos and article. His info will be posted soon.

I mean ... how many players 'announce' at McDonalds?

but will likely move inside at MSU. He is a very similar player to Gabe Jackson. He is not as athletic as a player such as Justin Malone but is insteadmore of a bulldozer. I've seen him play several times and JA Coach David Sykes has done a great job with his fundamentals. Very goodcommit.

But I still like that we're taking him. I would like to see us take 5 offensive linemen in each class. I don't mind reaching on some prospects to get there as long as they have the potential to play SEC ball. This guy seems to have the size, so why not take him.

You'll certainly 'waste' some scholarships doing this, but it's worth it if the ones that do develop ensure that you always have a complete offensive line.

offensive lineman under Freeze. He is a true spread coach and needs offensive lineman that can run and that have a lot of stamina because in theory he will try<div>his best to speed the game up as much as possible. I have heard the argument that the true spread offense does not require big powerful lineman but smaller, quicker lineman. </div><div>If you are correct about Jamall being a bulldozer that is probably not what Freeze was looking for, just a thought. Bouldin and Johnson appear to be both big and athletic and are good</div><div>gets for the bears.</div>

Of course, you could tell he was a badass from his video. We were the only ones that wanted him.

On getting the commit from Clayborn. He is a very good player and will be a solid addition to your team. I don't know if it was related to you getting Clayborn, but we just got a commitment at USM from Devin Farrior, an OT from Waynesboro our coaches liked a lot. Good day for both schools.

I'm just saying we didn't beat anybody to get him. Hope he turns out well. I'm always up for a diamond in the rough - especially an OL.

would pull the trigger on an offer for Farrior but USM. Gary Myers is another guy at Wayne County USM can pick up if they offer.
