someone tell me about his game. Is he a more mobile QB that we may be looking for Mullen's offense? Discuss?

The kid is more mobile than Tyler. I think that he would compliment Tyler in a 2 QB system. I know he would want to beat Ole Miss every year. I just don't know if he is worth the headache. Think Clayton Owens.

bring him in. If he doesn't correct his attitude issues, we could just cut our loses.

I guess I am asking from someone who has seen him play, could he compliment Tyler Russel in a spread option offense, and do you think Mullen would be willing to take a risk on him?

And put up some impressive numbers his junior year. He had an injury plagued senior campaign. I saw the Louisville/ South Panola/Meridian jamboree in Louisville. None of the Dandy Dozen players were let downs. I would like for us to get Conner(sp) from South Panola, that guy is all over the field and was in on every tackle.

that she is not a head case. Clayton is former MSU wr Davey Crawleys nephew and Davey is a good guy. Clayton and Brad Peterson, his hs coach just had a personality conflict the whole time he played at LHS. Having watched him play numerous times, this kid has all the talent and tools to be a good qb at any SEC school. He never was shy to tuck the ball and run and he can throw the ball with the best of them. I say MSU needs to offer him. What have we got to lose? Good Family!

Ive known Clayton and his family for years and don't really know what you are talking about. Clayton and my son started in tee ball. He is an athelete. He is a great football player, baseball, basketball, whatever. He has a great family also.

He would be great. He has no fear. Everyone says he's cocky but what good quarterback is not.

MSU's not had much luck with legacies. I think the last legacy that did well for MSU was Stan Sims.

with my coach in high school cause he was a crazy redneck, but I never argued with him and left the field. If I would have done that my father would have beat the ever living **** out of me.

That is a huge problem today nobody respects authority and he is supposed to get a free pass cause he is a good athlete. This is whats the matter with the schools today it all changed when parents stopped asking What did my child do? and started asking What did you do to my child?

He is one of the most arrogant jokers out here. Yes, the kid was wrong in what he did. Clayton called an audible from a set running play and the play went for a good gain, it just went against what BP wanted. I can understand him getting pissed off. And yes, when I played High School ball back in the 80's, it was not uncommon for my coach to grab hold of my facemask and take his right hand and pop me up the side of my helmet and shake my head and go off on me. I would take it and go back in to the game and make a play. I never would have questioned anything he said! You are correct that a 17 yr old kid should never question authority. That being said, Heck, let's give him an offer and let Dan the Man mold him into something better. All the good qb's in history have had a big ego.

I can tell you that in the spring when he was invited to MSU with several other qb's for a one day camp, he completely insulted our staff with several little things. For example, texting while coaches talked, wearing an Alabama cap, and other little things that did not go well. These are small things but lack of respect is a huge understatement. As far as Brad Peterson, you can call him whatever you want but 3 schools, 3 state titles and he isn't 35 yet, nuff said. Finnaly his family, his grandfather is self proclaimed "big dog" in rebel land. He only allowed Davey to come here after Ole Miss did not offer and then proceeded to rail JWS for not playing his grandson. Now I think most would do the same if it was there family but when you have that much family interference your asking for trouble. Clayton quit the team half way through the playoffs to not risk injury for his college career, really? A senior thats supposed to be the leader saying screw my team, I'm out for me? Is that leadership and potential? Then came back and cussed the coach. His numbers were not impressive if you looked at his passes over 5 yards, meaning the entire system was based on 3 yard bubble screens and laterals to the scat back (Dennis Thames) that went for big yardage. When the receivers and running backs catch for 300 yds a game and didn't catch a pass more than 3 yards deep, how much credit should the qb get?

First off...anyone who sits here and talks about brad peterson needs to re think some things..the guy has won every where he has went..hes won state championships in high school and if i recall he won one last year with this same team..besides the fact that he has a bad attitude, why doesnt the boy just do what the coach says?? i mean they did win a ring last year by doing this.. My question is if the boy doesnt do what the coach wants in high school the why in the world would he in college..i have also heard that he does not take it to well when i coach gets on him..Because i have played college football i can tell you this..if clayton doesnt like getting an hear full every now and then, well he just needs to stay at home..Cause its goona happen

And for whoever said the boy doesnt have an attitude problem..yea right...i have tons of family in louisville because i used to live there and its all over that town about how no coaches get along with him.. so yea he may have all the talent in the world..but if he cant get along with coaches and has a bad attitude then he should just stay at home and think about what couldve been

against Wayne County for an incident with another coach the week before. He and the coach got into a shouting match on the sideline and he sat out the 1st half against WC. I was at that game and was told some other things by one of the Louisville guys involved with the program. The kid has great potential but his attitude is his biggest problem. Some of you say it is not his mother's side of his family and some say it is. Regardless, until he gets his head squared away, his playing options for next year are shrinking faster than a bull's codsack in a Minnesota snowstorm......

self proclaimed "big dog" in rebel land = big time ambulance chaser; would sue his mother for a nickel

And how does someone rail on a head coach at an SEC school for not playing their Winston Academy, walk-on grandson? Because their head cases.

He is mobile and a decent arm but geez, who gets asked or told to get the hell out at half time of a semi final playoff game. At halftime, coach told him to get his **** and get out. They won every game he was out I think. It wasnt the first coach he has showed his *** with nor the first time he and his current coach had problems.
