At 6-4 295 and already started on a National title team would be Huge get.

He's a huge get on his own, but I was thinking how huge of a get it would be for NU given our youth at the position. Having Pagano would allow the youngsters more time to develop.

- Logically, we probably have the apparent biggest need
- Coach P is young and has a manual built on his own great career at the position.
- We have the academic support to help with the transition.
- Can't recall how similar the two D systems are, but with our coaches; he will get well schooled.

Thinking on the same lines as you... Help Diaco with the transformation from the 4-3 to the 3-4 would be just exactly what we need.Winking

Grad transfer. Think Russell Wilson.

I am aware of what a grad transfer is and RW is a great example.

I admit this next question is stupid, but does he have to transfer to keep playing football? I'm just wondering why he did it, unless he had to for some reason. I do not know how grad transfers work. I know RW could have stayed put, but they changed coaches or systems and had a hot shot who was going to start, I get it in his case, but he could have stayed put to, right?

He'd stick out like a diamond in a ruby pile at Nebraska, way talented but probably won't go to Lincoln. :(

But then again, he just might! :)

Maybe not, but I have a feeling that things are changing in Lincoln and for the better.

Things certainly are getting better, and if Mr. Pagano does end up in Lincoln, I suspect a lot of celebratory alcohol will be slurped down in Nebraska. Hell, I'll drink a few myself to celebrate. "Make it a Guinness Blonde, bartender."

Will he have a table with 7 hats on it to choose from when he decides?

Anyone else wondering why he left Clemson?

Honestly, his reasoning has me thinking Cal might be the option. He told Coach Dabo that his goals at Clemson had been accomplished. He wanted to win a National Title and graduate from Clemson. Now he wants to get a start on his Graduate Degree before going pro. He also said he wanted to go to the West Coast.

I just hope he stays away from Oregon.

I share the same sentiments. He's originally from Honolulu, so I'm not going to get my hopes up to high that he'll be N. Sounds like a west coast lean to me as well. But it's nice to know we have a couple open schollies due to only taking 20 in the 2017 class. Hopefully we can find other other senior transfers. I doubt Riley will go JUCO.

Doesn't look like NU has a shot at him... I know we are in his top 7 but he has not and is not planning on taking a visit to Lincoln per the latest reports. He has 3 visits set up officially. Notre Dame, Arkansas, Oklahoma. Many believe Oregon will be another visit and then between Texas and Cal. So every school except Nebraska is mentioned in possibly getting a visit. Lot's can change but I think it would be more than a long shot to land this kid.

I also not sure how much better he is, if at all, than the Davis twins. He could definitely get more playing time here than at Clemson though.

This guy is transfering because he wants a chance at more playing time before he uses up his eligibility. Clemson has a bunch of young DT probably starting ahead of him. He is like Kevin Williams but much better. Clemson will have an insane DL without him.

He is nothing like Kevin Williams. There is no comparison.

He might not like the new d-line coaches. After winning the NC, Clemson's DT and DE coaches both announced they were done. The DT coach, who is 65yo, is retiring and the DE coach is going to the NFL.

DID I see a 470 bench press ? That would school our o-linemen in practice and bring them up a level.

I assume this guy is a 5th year. He started on a NC team. DavisX2 are third year guys for a team that didn't end up in the top 25. One was first off of the bench and the other was more spot duty.
I would assign a low probability to you being right, but I concede it is possible. In two years, the Davis twins could be better than this guy, but that is not a lock.

Sounds like he has crossed us off his list and not going to visit Lincoln, so we may close the door on this subject.

Just hope he doesn't end up at Oregon now.
