Freezing cold in a converted baseball stadium. I'd be skipping that invite like ND.
I wonder the Cost to participate in a bowl?? especially a lower tier bowl, Band Cheerleaders, etc etc??Freezing cold in a converted baseball stadium. I'd be skipping that invite like ND.
They can cover it but I'm sure it's expensive.I wonder the Cost to participate in a bowl?? especially a lower tier bowl, Band Cheerleaders, etc etc??
Me personally, would rather be playing In a warmer climate, or a dome, but hey, minus whatever wind chill, is not a fun way to view (i willl never forget the Papa John's bowl of 2010) Froze my Arse off!!Christmas and New Years in New York? I could think of worse bowls
I can think of better ones too but at the end of the day they're bowling and we aren't.Christmas and New Years in New York? I could think of worse bowls
That was just a horrible experience from pulling into the parking lot to waking up the nest morning realizing it all really happened.Me personally, would rather be playing In a warmer climate, or a dome, but hey, minus whatever wind chill, is not a fun way to view (i willl never forget the Papa John's bowl of 2010) Froze my Arse off!!
my sentiments EXACTLY......Thanks the good Lord my seats were in the SUN!!That was just a horrible experience from pulling into the parking lot to waking up the nest morning realizing it all really happened.
They're playing a very beatable opponent & will likely get their 8th win. Their program is a lot better than ours. Face facts. Always has been. Always will be. They care way more.
Dork is about right for youThey're playing a very beatable opponent & will likely get their 8th win. Their program is a lot better than ours. Face facts. Always has been. Always will be. They care way more.
Terrible stadium for football. If you are sitting on the 50 yd. line you are some 80 yards from the field. Seats closest to field are endzone.
(1958 Baltimore Colts Lead by Johnny Unitas vs New York Football Giants was played in Yankee Stadium. Went into overtime.)
Old Cleveland Brown/Indians stadium was the same way. Just a big oval. "The mistake by the lake"
And I'm sure the teams performance(or lack therof) that day made it feel that much colder!Me personally, would rather be playing In a warmer climate, or a dome, but hey, minus whatever wind chill, is not a fun way to view (i willl never forget the Papa John's bowl of 2010) Froze my Arse off!!

If only for extra team practice. But it may be expensive. No downside to playing in any bowl as long as you show up to play.
They played at Kezar Stadium for many years beforehand. It was always weird seeing the 49ers play in Candlestick Park before the baseball season was over (before PacBell->AT&T->Oracle Park). It's a first down at 2nd base!
You disagree?
Please tell me what I said that was wrong.Dork is about right for you
I think Clemron has had a chip on its shoulder vis a vis USC from the founding circa 1890. Big motivator in many areas. They're playing a very beatable opponent & will likely get their 8th win. Their program is a lot better than ours. Face facts. Always has been. Always will be. They care way more.
That is true, but hell we tailgated inside the car, lol. Went out to a friend's tailgate that had heaters, it was STILL unbearable will before the game began. one of the funnier issues, Papa Johns Bowl, RAN OUT OF PIZZA!!And I'm sure the teams performance(or lack therof) that day made it feel that much colder!
Not at all, in fact your post is stating the obviousYou disagree?
Please tell me what I said that was wrong.
When the Falcons played at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, the setup was the same way. 50 yd line seats were some of the worst.Terrible stadium for football. If you are sitting on the 50 yd. line you are some 80 yards from the field. Seats closest to field are endzone.

Fans better take their campers…… rooms are about $600. Per!!Freezing cold in a converted baseball stadium. I'd be skipping that invite like ND.
Until 1971. Hard to believe they played pro football in that little stadium. They played at Kezar Stadium for many years beforehand.
We would have been tickled pink to go to Shreveport. StopFreezing cold in a converted baseball stadium. I'd be skipping that invite like ND.
ONE MILLION PERCENT!!We would have been tickled pink to go to Shreveport. Stop
No chance of that happening with a losing record, how is that relevant. We would have been tickled pink to go to Shreveport. Stop
If we don’t get a real OC it might not be relevant for many yrs to comeNo chance of that happening with a losing record, how is that relevant.
8-5. Hooray. They suck less than us.They're playing a very beatable opponent & will likely get their 8th win. Their program is a lot better than ours. Face facts. Always has been. Always will be. They care way more.
You forgot to add, playing in the Bronx! Babe Ruth will be looking down on them thar taters!Interesting development.
We sit at 4-8, our HC is making embarrassing statements, we're still looking for an OC, all this after losing to our arch rival, in an very lackadaisical performance, and our fan base is dissing Clemson for getting to play in a bowl.
Wasn't so little at the time. Seating was vastly reduced a few years back,Until 1971. Hard to believe they played pro football in that little stadium.
Partially true statement. The seating wsa not reduced per se, but the new Yankee Stadium was a totally new building that was built across the street from the old one. Old Yankee Stadium had 80K seating capacity, New Yankee Stadium can hold 54K for football events.Wasn't so little at the time. Seating was vastly reduced a few years back,
I remember . Idiots spilling Beer on us at 13 degrees, Papa John the Idiot going out to the 50 years line for applause in his Shirt Sleeves, No Pizza and Terrible Parking......Taters going to hate it when they get their Chewing Tobbaco taken away at the gate. That is true, but hell we tailgated inside the car, lol. Went out to a friend's tailgate that had heaters, it was STILL unbearable will before the game began. one of the funnier issues, Papa Johns Bowl, RAN OUT OF PIZZA!!
They were speaking about Kezar Stadium in San Francisco.Partially true statement.
