Perfectly stated. Clemson’s QB took off on a run for like a 15 yard gain and Joe said something along the lines of “so elusive, shifty, and FAST”. I mean they spend the entire pregame going over the kids high school resume basically making him the next John Elway, so by game time any play, no matter how basic, Joe commentated it as if it were spectacular.

"It's been a long time since we've seen this kind of player. He's got all the right things going for him, and he's taking advantage of the limelight in his first start. Can imagine NFL GMs salivating over this kid. Just glad I'm here to take it all in...." - Joe Tessitore

"FFS JOE, could you just eat the damn bologna sandwich already...?!" - Joe's wife

Be interesting to see how Chumlee handles his QBs next year. Milton had a good game vs Clemson but they have the guy the bought for $8M coming in. Somebody's playing, somebody's sitting, somebody's happy, somebody's pissed.

Ummm…..
TWO! You I’ve only two consensus national championships. One in 1951, which is suspect because he got blown out by Maryland. The second one was a Clint Stoerner fumble away from a non-perfect season in 1998. Two period.

Take your trophy case and jam it up your sphincter—along with BassmasteVOls mother. She should have swallowed

I’m an old school fan, so I am willing to accept the 2 AP titles. However the 1951 title is perfectly fine, as the champion was selected prior to the bowl games, so you cannot know the frame of mind of the players in the bowl games.

I would challenge you to find championship teams that didn’t have a close call or two during the season.

UT also has former 4* Tayvion Jackson, who was a true freshman this season. Huepel and his staff have been really high on this kid. He saw some action in cleanup early in the season but was injured and didn't play the last half of the season. Spring ball will be an interesting QB battle.

Milton will be the obvious frontrunner going into spring, but I am not counting out either Jackson or the incoming freshman, Nico Iamaleava. He is one of 16 eaely enrollees and he was with the team through bowl practice so should already have some understanding of the offense by spring. But I imagine if either comes out of spring ahead of Milton it will be Jackson. If he doesn't, but is 2nd behind Milton, I suspect he will likely stay, but if Nico were to come out of spring as #2, then I think Jackson will likely transfer, with USF being a possible destination, following Alex Golesh.

But however it plays out it should be a very competive spring between 3 talented QBs.

Not really. At that time champions were always crowned before bowl season and bowls were just considered a reward for a great season and several national champions later lost their bowl games.

The second one was a Clint Stoerner fumble away from a non-perfect season in 1998. Two period.
You can look at the seasons of most former national champions and find a game or 2 where they got a break or 2 to survive and advance.

They have to give him a warning with a flag first. Can't just UC him for being there. That said, he was outside the box during your game with us and was never flagged. He had to have said something
He, Heupel, was and had been giving the officials hell over the slowness they were spotting the ball. He was screaming, "what the hell are you doing, holding the ball until Clemson was ready. It finally reached a level of they had heard enough. After the penalty they started spotting the ball much faster.

Ok. That makes sense.

They did the same thing to us back when we when we ran tempo years ago, but only in SEC games. I get it if the offense subs, then the defense is allowed to sub, but outside of that- GET THE FK OUT OF THE WAY...

Friend of mine on Fb just had a "memory" pop up from this day in 2013-

"Refs must have money on this game. Never see a UC given for a sideline without first giving a warning."

Don't know what game he was watching, but it struck both of us as kinda funny after your game last week. Refs were working extra hard where they could to make games closer than they should've been the last week. Got zebra fatigue right now...

Congrats on the game. Among other things, your D really stepped up.

I'm still wondering why your coach got a UC call and DS got a sideline warning. What did JH say to the officials? Did he call them "ccksuckers"?
They were taking their time placing the ball and giving Clemson’s defense time to substitute. They’re Big 10 refs. They think the Wing T is innovative football.

In case you don't know, refs are in charge of the game, not Chumlee. They can stop the clock for measurmwnts, check on a player or move teams and coaches off the sideline.

That particular poster is one of many TN posters who come here seeking validation. Ignore.

I know who he is, he has had multiple names here and has bought multiple subscriptions to UGA's pay site, Bama's too most likely. He isn't smart enough to realize there is someone smart enough to catch him.

Nah. I just know not every pay site has a mod as soft as mooseknuckle over at DawgJuice or whatever. Dude thinks he’s a hacker because he can read an IP address. What a dweeb.

You can find instances of every coach tearing into refs. Including your precious Kirby. They started setting the ball faster after that so it worked and even with the 15 yard penalty, they scored a TD in the RZ.
