Played their hearts out. I was pulling for you all. You represented well.
I am proud of this group of Mountaineers. When I consider where we started by losing five key starters prior to the season, how young we were, the injuries that piled up quickly on this group, the three week mental team crash out, and the bounce back for the playoffs, it was a heck of a ride. Emotional roller coaster. We have many things to clean up behind the scenes but if we can keep this group of young talent together, we can be special the next three seasons. We have to get tougher, bigger, and stronger but we have a ton of talent. We just have to keep the transfers to a minimum in the off season and see what happens with our coaching staff.
Good luck to Crest and Shelby. I hope both are able to bring home state titles. I will be at Crest/South Point because I think that will be a great game!
