Y'all haven't played a team half as good as Weddington. Maybe the best team you have played was Catholic and they beat y'all. They lost to Weddington 42-7. Only because it was 42-0 at half and they took the starters out.
They do not get any better than Coach Taylor. This man was an incredible coach and even better person. Prayers to his family.Just saw that Coach Taylor has passed. What he did for Shelby High helped make Cleveland County Football. Iron sharpens iron.
Actually the Weddington/Catholic game was 20-7 at the half. Catholic was in the game for awhile but Weddington defense was too strong and you could see what was going to happen eventually. Catholic could not consistently move the ball and Weddington was ready for everything.
Catholic was driving deep in Weddington territory late in 2nd qtr down 13-7. Catholic tried to go for it on 4th down inside the Weddington 25yd line and didnt get it which led to them turning the ball over on downs. Weddington went about 76yds on three plays in less than a minute with the big play being a long td run back their back who looked like he was shot out of a cannon. That put Weddington up 20-7 right before half and it looked like that took the air completely out of Catholic. The end.
That game was 42-0 halftime. Not sure which game you’re referring to.

Now, we are the ones that has to avenge Cleveland County’s honor with Gaston County since they decided to identify as a powder puff team last Friday.
Then in 3 weeks we’ll take the belt to them for dishonoring CC with that disaster.

The game was 21-0 at halftime. I correct my earlier misstatement but I watched the game. Weddington was up 14-0 late in 2nd qtr and Catholic was driving to score deep in Weddington territory. Catholic turned it over and Weddington scored right before half to go up 21-0. That touchdown by Weddington took all the fight out of Catholic. The game is on NFHS network for all of you to see for yourselves. It was obvious that Weddington was clearly the superior team, same as the Weddington/Crest game. The outcome was never in doubt after the 1st qtr.

It was definitely 42-0 at half. Running clock in the 2nd half.
I was watching it on NFHS network. It’s possible that I mixed up the end of the 1qtr with halftime. Those NFHS network broadcasts aren’t the best so it’s possible I misspoke or communicated.

Ashbrook is very physical , can Crest match that physicality

You left out that we had 178 yards in penalties. Good lord what is going on here tonight. KM and Shelby loses, Panthers win and now Sausage is calling fools out for breathing. Shutdown got caught being wrong twice in the same sentence and Rulz has invited half of New Hope Rd to the parking lot for root canals. Fellows calm down, you got NOGA this week. The last time they were relevant Shelbyfan had a screen name and no excuse with auto correct.

KM got beat like a dog Friday night.... I saw a reverse one time where QB1 basically laid down to not have to block the defender.... The right tackle might as well have been playing for Ashbrook and the play calling after going down was like watching a Pee Wee team playing on Saturdays but WAY WORSE.. They got bullied like a 3rd grade pocket protector future computer engineer friday night and had their milk money, their lunch money, their daddies money and their grandpappies money just STOLT
