KM had a big problem last night. We will see if Crest can hold Ashbrook to 20 points....or Hickory to 25 points.KM must have big problems because South Points defense is not good enough to put any decent team in a chokehold

Believe me. We remember Weddington. SP is NOT Weddington. Weddington lit the fire and South Point burned in it.
Even you have to admit. The SP defense wasn’t great when we played I see no scenario where it could stop us.
SP is good. I’d hate to have to play them again but it is what it is. If we do. We’ll welcome you right back to the SID.
Ashbrook softened KM up for SP it was the perfect storm
Been watching CC football for 50 years and I’ve seen it all before. Sometimes teams start strong and fizzle down the stretch. Some don’t figure it out early- even though they have all the pieces in place- then jell and finish strong. All teams usually have a disappointing game or two- where you wonder if they have suited up folks from a local rest home to help. In the end- high school football is about KIDS learning to handle challenge, working together to reach a goal, while being observed by grown men lamenting over past unrealized opportunities. Sometimes it does not make sense at all.
And for KM- this current situation seems to be pretty typical- historically. They have all you could want in a program and facilities now. So???? Shelby- always has a good team, some years better than others but everybody wants to beat em. Crest- same as Shelby, they attract ring seekers- Burns brings up the rear, pretty good teams, a really good team every 3-4 years, teams made better by playing the others, beats the others sometimes but rarely beats all 3 in the same year but can beat just about any other teams outside the county compatible to their size school. They are usually underdogs but we enjoy surprising folks, a thrill you can’t understand unless you are one of us. South Point- your worst nightmare usually- wouldn’t want to play them most years. I mention SP because they have been the only consistant foe in Gaston County since Noah built The Ark. With all that said, odd unexplainable things still happen. I often think- how in the world did THAT HApPen?
Lol totally agree......i think the overall the announcers do a good job but yea that postgame show is like trying to watch a wnba game.That’s why I listen to it.. It’s idiocy but it’s like comedic gold if you’re looking for it.
I don’t really care if that Hastings man hates on Crest. That’s fine. If no one hates you, you ain’t doing something right. But that dude hates on Eli in a backhanded kind of way. I can’t abide with that.
