I know it’s not football but there are a ton of players on this team. The talent pool at BMS is loaded even if a few do leave. Bright days ahead. View attachment 1081811
Kane wrestled for Coach Wright... Called Kane Boulder... ha ha... Such a great Coach.. took a 156 lb wrestler who had to wrestle at 171 the entire year and toughened him up.... Kane even mentioned the other day, during combatives in OSUT, some tactics he learned wrestling, really helped him.... .. Congrats to him and his team... thats awesome

Who left?
Nobody yet but it’s high school football in CC. There are no secrets with how people talk and I’ve heard back and forth on a few. Me personally, with what that middle school group accomplished together it wouldn’t make sense but we will see what they decide.

As long as the Bulldogs keep the qb and running back in the program everything else will be fine. Both of those kids are game changers.

Why would any kid want to leave Burns right now? They are arguably the favorite for the 4a championship right now.
I’m sure they have coaches from other schools in their ear. Schools can’t win with what they have in house. From what you read on here Burns will have to chance to win it for the next several years and those kids will probably make a bigger impact at Burns than they will at other schools.

I talked to a Burns Middle dad at the Crest/south point game and he said his step son was planning to move to Crest to play running back. Said the kids real dad was a former running back at Crest. Could be hype.
Like I said... Not my kid or decision. One thing to think about is will he be ok playing JV if Crest is loaded in the backfield. He would have a possible 4 year impact at Burns if he works in the offseason but it is out of our hands. Not a good time to transfer out of Burns but with family ties I get it.

Rivals give you the North Carolina high school football honorees for the 2025 season.

Player of the Year: Lan Farmer, QB, Shelby

There was really no topping the kind of numbers that led to a North Carolina state championship like Lan Farmer had for Shelby this past season. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound signal caller was the engine that made the Golden Lions move en route to 801 points scoring a winning a Class 3A state championship. Farmer through the air completed 234 of 332 passes for 4,228 yards, 56 touchdowns and only seven picks. He was second on the team in the rushing department as the quarterback amounted to 467 yards and 15 scores. Farmer’s best game was his last one as a high school quarterback as Farmer completed 20 of 27 passes for 458 yards, eight touchdowns and added two more on the ground to make it 10 in a 84-41 win over Kinston. The kind of production the senior amassed might be some of the best all-purpose wise numbers for a quarterback in the country.

Congrats to that young man

Cleveland County has some talent.....

Good job SL posting that about Lan.
Coach Wilbanks got the award, too.
And also of interest, Shelby’s Title Game opponent was recognized. He was almost unstoppable.
Here is the article.

I heard the KM QB left for East Lincoln. Apparently mom got butthurt about something and that was that.

Matty Ice is cold blooded.
If younger Beam is wanting to play qb his senior year as it seems, and IF EL gets the qb transfer, seems like two huge holes could be filled in KM. QB and offensive coordinator. Also there has been talk that the d1 receiver maybe leaving EL.

Beam is like 5'8 or 5'9 super athletic but will be a small QB. Latest I heard is him and his dad as a combo deal to bandys
