I will not disagree with the first part of your post but I am going to challenge the homegrown coaching aspect. Wilbanks coached at KM before going to Shelby but he is not from Cleveland County. In his first three years Herron is 27-10 with one conference championship and he has a 6-3 record against CC teams during the 3yrs he has been at the helm. KM played eight playoff teams in the regular season this past season with 5 of those teams going to at least the 3rd round. Crest is 8-1 in CC, Shelby is 4-5, and Burns is 0-9 the last 3yrs in CC/ 23-13 overall against a MUCH weaker schedule. I am a firm believer that you always go after the best candidate you can get when you hire unless they bring a ton of baggage you can’t afford. Your homegrown coaching analysis stated sucks under the light of facts… Also many Shelby fans were ready for Wilbanks to go until realignment and Shelby saw a path to multiple titles over the next couple of years.
He has only been the head coach for 6 years and has won 3 State Championships. Very good man and loves his players. We as fans will take this all day long.

LMAO.... You have no clue.
You have no clue. The qb and running back next year will be excellent, can’t deny that. SP senior class overall next year will be good. Talent at Belmont Middle fell way off after this upcoming senior class but the saving grace for SP is the new Belmont population base helped the middle school bounce back much quicker than it originally thought. SP is well coached but they will need the assistance of those dreaded transfers after this senior class to slow their fall and keep pace in the Big South.

They'll get very few transfers due to that mummified offense they continue to run. They refuse change..... They'll go the way of the buffalo...

Wilbanks won title 1st and 3rd year at Shelby, where do u get Shelby fans wanted him gone...
Make it make sense....
Every fan base complains about its coaches at some point in season.
Its aways there fault, never any other reason.

Still SP recruited the SC fullback and he moved and then lost not once but twice this year. Now he's stuck on a SP team that is going down faster than you out at the blue oyster..

Crest is YOUR State Champion. You don't have to like it but you will learn to love it.

SP doesn't recruit anybody (obviously). Go check out the roster.
That FB could leave tomorrow and you wouldn't see an ounce of production difference.
Am I taking crazy pills? It is public knowledge amongst "football fans" I thought....if you are the FB in that offense, unless you are one-legged with an eye patch you will rush for 1400 plus yards, avg. 5 plus a carry and get about 200 carries minimum.
I am not commenting on the current fullback when I say this...I'm commenting on them all: Whoever they put at FB doesn't even have to be good.....and they are going to get those numbers.
The best two ever: One was a 5'5 140 lb kid (20-21 timeframe) and the other a 5'9 174 lb kid (11-13 timeframe).
SP has put more misses at that position and done OK than "dudes".

"constantly on 5a/6a..." I have posted on this board 2-3 times and only when some SP guy drags us into it the conversation. Listen, I get it you are upset that SC didn't play SP this year, but go back and do a quick search and see what I am posting. The real question for another thread is why is SP consumed by SC success? We all know the SP narrative "SC still aint crap its just the schedule. Burns is no good, Shelby is no good. Lincolnton is no good" etc.

Your narrative is getting tiresome. I guess since they don't play you feel like you have to keep negative narrative going about SC? Let it go. The more you post about it just validates that SP is worried about the SC success. Go back and look which posters keep bringing SC up in a 5a/6a forum. Here is the reality. SC hired a great coach. The program is turned in the right direction and building. Don't wont to believe me, ask the fans on here we played, but you already know that. If you still are upset about SC not playing SP, keep calling the AD and asking for the game like everyone else. Or keep showing how much you dont care about SC by posting about us. It is a Win-Win for the Storm.
Narrative?
Success?
Great Coach?
LMAO. This is beyond rich. You talking about a conference and division of play where Bessemer City was 8-5 two years ago, where Cherryville was 6-6 last year? Half the league has HALF your ADM numbers.
Man - somebody buy up all the Kool Aid in the greater S. Cremer area because that HC is about to call a prayer meeting and tell you to turn your wives over. I will laugh for the next ten years about the words "success" and "Great coach" being uttered after this one football season in the Senior Middle School league.
Just try to string together three above .500 seasons in a row, and that coach can get to "maybe he knows what he's doing" status.
